Southern Miss spit the bit so ECU will host the CUSA Championship game.

Tulane is trailing SMU by 5 in the 4th... so UH might win the West before they take the field tonight.

Maybe if they bring the Cotton Bowl into the BCS, that becomes the Big 12 tie in and the MTWest gets the Fiesta Bowl. Houston would be a good addition to the conference.

    WAY better than Conf USA

Bailiff was the head coach at Texas State (my alma mater) before gong to Rice. In the year we went to the playoffs, the game was tied close to the end of the 4th quarter. Driving in the opponents territory (inside the 30), Bailiff opts to take a knee and play for OT where we lose. 5 years later, Bobcat fans still get pissed about "the knee". I was at that game. Screw Bailiff.

Yeah, I (and a lot of others) were pretty high on him after going 10-3 last year and winning the bowl game, but it became apparent pretty quickly that it was the players getting it done in spite of Bailiff instead of because of him.

Next year should be better with Cook and McGuffie being able to play, but both our OC and DC have to go. I'm leaning towards giving Bailiff one more shot, but I wouldn't be mad if he were fired in the coming weeks.

Oh, this game is ugly. It's the kind of game that can scar people for life.

i was there. it was freezing... literally. to play "not to lose" with a minute and a half in the game was an atrocity.

that being said, he's a good guy. cant judge him this year after losing practically all his offensive production.
