    We're not going.

We have come to terms with that. Have you come to terms with going to the Cotton Bowl(AKA where we go in our off-years) while we are playing in a BCS game?

i'm keeping it for it's originality. not often you see a seven-legged spider.

so a ut poster cannot respond to trash talking in a similar manner?

Uh, you'll note that said poster was apparently not aware of the trash talking in question...

I'm not here to play referee. My observations are that UT fans have been, as of late and as a whole, without class.

The newly employed, yet overused and old "we got screwed" shtick is so lame. I'd like to think UT was a hair less whiny than USC but I guess not.

Even though I don't really care who wins what it's freekin annoying just to constantly hear it or read it.

I know it's silly advice, but you can try avoiding obvious college football threads since they grate your nerves...it's hard to stay away though, I'll admit.

I only bothered to peek into this one because of the inflammatory title and the "DEA" reference. I've ignored all the others.

I watched the tech-ut game. Thought it was a really good game. That's the only game I watched this year except for the last part of the Georgia game post Thanksgiving.

But it's not just threads. It's a barrage of articles. It's UT alumni with nothing better to do than b**** about it constantly every time you see them.

Yes, I live in Houston. I recognize that probably 30%+ of those I work with are in some way associated with UT. But it's gotten just plain sad.

It's like, "**** man! you graduated 15 years ago goddamit! Find something more important to b**** about self-righteously every day for chrissakes."

I should not have gotten into this thread and I regret it I guess. But it needed to be said - it felt good to get it out (even on the internet). And apparently I'm not the only one who is a bit exasperated.

Seriously...even his dad was suprised at those comments. But once he gets that Top 10 draft grade, he's good as gone.

    crabtree is gone.

what more does he have to gain by sticking with a team that will be breaking in a new quarterback? he's had a late-season injury scare, he's already a first-rounder, lubbock isn't exactly a world-class lifestyle city... he's so gone.

Glad to see the OP gone if he is indeed is. I don't have a problem with trash-talking, as long as it's within reason. As far as the topic goes, I'd bet my life that Crabtree knew. My ex-GF lived on his hall and said she would always smell weed when passing by. Apparently another friend had told her that he sold weed.. but that's hearsay and very well could have just been his roommate. Either way, he's no angel.. but I don't think too many people thought that anyways.

With that said, he's gone- No way he comes back to a new QB when he's a top 10 pick.

Yeah, I somehow caught that despite currently being bogged down with b****ing about the BCS and getting high out of my mind.

I was confused because Tech fan in question seemed satisfied by knocking us out of the MNC, as if that itself is enough to make his season. So when I brought up that Texas Tech, despite its great season, was going to a third(Maybe second, I guess)-tier bowl, I was confused by Tech fan's level of satisfaction.

    rhadamanthus,

If you're so bothered, don't post. I don't see how people get so wound up on CF. If my post is inflammatory and obnoxious enough to go on your chart, what the hell are pictures of scoreboards and TJ's constant posting of Texa$, etc...

As for Tech being satisfied for knocking off Texas chances of the national title game. It was a great thing, but I still would much rather see UT in the national championship game than OU. For many reasons I use to be a diehard Texas fan, have always hated Stoops and OU. In the end that game was our bowl game more than this one likely against probably Ole Miss in the Cotton Bowl. Lot of Tech fans aren't that excited about it, I can't remember a time a BCS conference school did not make the BCS after only 1 loss. A 3 way tie division championship in arguably the toughest conference is a great season for us. I am still not sold Texas is better than Tech but that's another story, don't need to get into that. In the end everyone knows that it was the Cotton Bowl, or the National Championship whether we lost to OU by 1 or 44. Oh well that's life. As for Crabtree I have a hard time believing he is staying. He is not that great of a student which is why he was redshirted his freshman year. I believe after he talks to his dad and plays in the bowl game he will enter the NFL draft. As for the Crabtree and his off the field issues, one of my friends is a friend of his and he does smoke weed.

Yeah it's pretty well known around Tech or at least the people I hang around that Crabtree is the typical dumbass that only cares about football and b****es, he used to be a salesman to my friends frat before he became Mr. Football star, and like 5 or 6 other starters still do sell..once a dumbass always a dumbass.

    Wreck em.
