Or Tech could go and they could lose. Or Tech could go and win and UT could still go to the BCS Championship whereas if OU went and won UT would have no shot.

Better chance for UT going to the national title game is still if OU loses.

Yeah - I said best chance, not only chance. UT has a better chance if OU loses.

So much for the criticism that Dez Bryant doesn't score TD's against ranked teams. 2 TD's and a 2 point conversion.

Yeah - they've got to be getting frustrated. They've been so close so many times. They need to get one big stop or turnover or SOMETHING to go their way.

Guess not....no D for either team. I hope that works in Texas' favor somehow. Might be a stretch, but that's what happens when you give up control of your own destiny.

Musberger just made a similar comment. He's not the brightest bulb, but then again, neither are the voters.

Edit: 3 point game...like a missed 2 point conversion returned for 2 points. Sigh.

The teams are a combined 18-27 on 3rd down and 3-3 on 4th down.

My hope is that voters see an OU team with horrible D and special teams, and see Texas as a team with better balance? Possible? Don't know, but it gives me some hope for tomorrow if OU holds on to win this game.

The flipside is you they could see an unstoppable offense a team that won by 10-17 pts on the road vs. the #12 team in the country. They scored 51 (or possibly 58) on the road against a team we scored 28 against at home. Of course, they gave up 41 to a team that we gave up 24 to, so who really knows. But from an eyeball perspective, OU still *looked* really good.

I don't ever understand how teams punt in those situations. If you punt, it's OVER. Even if it's 4th and 16, I'd at least give myself a chance. They had a wide open receiver on 3rd -- he just dropped it.

As someone who was in a college marching band, I would murder my director if he made us play the fight song after every single f'ing play like the OU band does.

    So I'm thinking thats it.

Impressive victory in a hostile enviornment against a very good team.

IMHO that should easily bump them over UT but we shall see
