You beat me to it. Anyone who says Texas-Arkansas wasn't/isn't a rivalry must be well under the age of 30.
And, yeah...if you're going by overall record, how the hell is aTm a "rivalry" with Texas?

I'm 35, I remember a few games between the two, there were no bonfires, no annual meetings on a neutral site with the stadium split down the middle.

if it were such a rivalry they would have played a few more games since ark bounced from the swc, is there a history, yes? a rivalry, not imo

When did it take 22 years between games? I'm with DM, you're entitled to not acknowledge Arkansas as your personal rival. Congratulations. Too bad nearly everybody else does.

So the Big Game, Michigan-Ohio State, etc. aren't rivalries since they switch each year instead of playing at a neutral site?

    And they have.

I'm 30 and I remember them in the SWC very, big stuff around here. I remember Texas and Arkansas playing in freaking basketball during their last days in the SWC and that was a huge deal during the Mayday years.

I had no idea prerequisites to a "rivalry" included a bonfire and/or a neutral site. I'm such an idiot.

*arkoe sits in amazement at the fact that we're back to the question of if UT/A&M is a rivalry or not.

Texas wasn't even ranked when they played those last few times. People knew what was coming with the conference separation so it meant a little more.

Their last game was in 91.

EDIT: I see you edited, I said last few times meaning the few times they played them in the SWC that last year winning the first losing the second and winning the third.
