I am happy to announce that Nebraska will remain a proud member of the Big XII for at least another hour or two.

I don't think they even road trip 500 miles, once you get to it being an 8-9 hour drive its probably mostly charters.

The closest pac 10 city to Boulder btw is Tempe, 587 miles as the crow flies. Again I don't think that the $$$ relationship between going 464 miles to Manhattan KS and 587 miles to Tempe is entirely linear in terms of incremental cost, and given the superior TV deal of te Pac 10...etc.

It was just a ploy to get rid of Colorado so the Big 12 could invite Notre Dame.

If I was Boise, I would have waited until things played out a little more. Maybe could have parlayed it into a BCS conference. Worst case was the MWC.

You'd think the MWC would be a BCS by now. Someone needs to pillage the Big East already.

Problem for Boise is that that Idaho has no people and thus has no value to big conferences. How their football team is doing is totally irrelevant to the rest of the conferences. I think the best case scenario for Boise was the MWC, and even better if the MWC raids the remains of a collapsed the B12.

If I was the MWC, I'd want to see who is left standing after all this mess before I give up spots to anyone....because you may have a whole host of teams to choose from. Remember....they put everything on hold to see where things would shake out.

I wonder if the MWC knows something we don't.

Thats whats funny about it. After years of success you think they would've been considered a power conference (atleast on the same lines as the bottom feeders of the BCS) in no time, when it was rumored BSU was joining, but now you have the possibility of 4 superconferences (if the Big East gets raided again by ACC) that pushes the MWC back to obscurity.
