All that is true with....ConUSA UH.

All that would change with UH in a major conference. Houston is a bigger market than Austin and Cstation put together.

Recruiting will get better each year. Sure UH will get hammered the first 3 years but by year 4 UH will make noise.

UH as a top 15 team vs ranked USC/or other big name school = sold out RELIANT STADIUM

No, it isn't. Houston, the city, is full of Texas and aTm grads/fans.

Man you just don't get it. You are making wild presumptions on what would happen if UH went to a bigger conference. YOu have nothing to base any of that on. Nothing will change the fact that UH is a commuter school which is a big reason why they can't sell out their small stadium.

As was already pointed out, Houston is full of ATM and UT grads and fans. UH needs the big 12 thousands of times more than the big 12 needs it.

    Fill your stadium

but that's ridiculously misleading. you see why, right?

if the City of Houston has more Texas almuni living here than UH almuni....it doesn't matter the size of the city. Texas and A&M bring that market to the new conference without UH ever being involved.

I'm just watching this in anticipation that TCU might make a move.

Isn't this what they were saying about Baylor when the Big XII was formed?

i'm hearing oregon, wash and cal are pushing back on BU because of religion.

because that's always an important criteria for whether or not you play another team in sports on an annual basis! :)

clearly BU's religious underpinnings have devastated UT's ability to have success as a university on and off the field.

agreed, but that was so long ago...hell, people say the same thing about the Cowboys and our beloved Rockets, winning rings in the 90's...but I digress...

I will say that Nebraska is a shell of their glory years and I still don't know who would take their place in the big12, hence why it's the domino that starts the tumbling...I'm thinking that once this happens, it'll be interesting to see where everyone lands...As for UH, it would be great to be included in a bigger conf, but I'm cautiously optimistic...UH is up and coming and has shown they can been the likes of OSU on occassion...only time will tell...

First off, relax and count to 10.

UH is making moves to reach Tier 1 status along with building more dorms on campus which would lead to higher attendance rates.

Most importantly...better conference, better recruiting, higher attendance.

Hate all you want....could care less.

Having God cheering your team on is a bit of an unfair advantage.

man, i like UH. i just think you're reaching. if some of these things had already played out, like you're suggesting they will, then i think it would be different. but right now it's just hope.

you're talking about stuff that happened in the early 80's.

BU just left the Elite Eight last season...with the highest rated college basketball game in the past 5 years when they played against Duke...in a Reliant Stadium filled with green and gold.

BU's facilities are light years ahead of UH's. I realize you think this is close...but it's just not.

Seems He's more of a baseball fan. I think He's upset with the all the rules protecting the QB.
