Yeah, right. He was the best thing that happened to that program since JFK was in office. He didn't wear out his welcome, y'all were loving him when he took y'all bowling.

Don't expect a season like 06 or 08 anytime soon at Rice.

Dugat, Edwards, and Carrier could be the fastest receiving core in the country and add that with Keenum and "The Brick" then the Coogs could lead the nation in ypg and ppg. Man its going to be a fun year.

When I go running at Rice I still have to stop and LOL at the equipment trailer sitting outside the football stadium with "Todd Graham: Head Coach" on it. Roofle mcdoofle.

hasn't said that since Bailiff took over

    swing and a miss

UH will still find a way to "coog it" next year in football.

Dum-dum, your threats might mean something if you ever showed up to any UH-Rice threads after your team lost.

Credibility? Don't worry about that. You gave up your manhood when you acted like a titty baby in third ward.

Scared douche bags. Only at rice.

Do I need to separate you two? Honestly, I'm going to see you two stepping into a police car when I leave the Bucket next year.

Whatever makes Rice fans sleep at night and feel good about Coach Take-a-knee. Where were you Rice folks when TG was firing loyal Rice staffers left and right? Blowing him...that's where.

    QUESTION:

Could a kind Cougar supporter explain to me why I have to buy season tickets in order to buy individual tickets to the Texas Tech game? I understand it's to drum up season ticket sales, but why antagonize the casual UH fan like that? Or the Tech expatriates living in town? Wouldn't you want to sell any tickets you can to anybody that has cash when you're a fledgling or formerly fledgling college football program? In this economy??

Here's my story: My soon-to-be wife is a UH alum and not a huge football fan. I am a Tech alum and a rabid Red Raider fan. We live in the Montrose area of town (in a small, old one bedroom apartment... my point being, we're not rich, by a long shot). The Tech/UH game is a couple of weeks away from my birthday and my lovely woman offered to buy us 2 tickets to go to the game. It would be my first live Tech game in about 7 years. I log on today to find out how much single game tickets are, and as stated above, they will not sell them to you unless you buy season tickets. Stub Hub/cheaptickets is selling them for $75 a seat and up, and the $75 seats are terrible... 74th row, staring at short side of the end zone.

My only other option is buying the $50 seats offered by Texas Tech, which will of course be filled with rabid, drunk Texas Tech college students (we have a reputation in that department, and not TOO long ago, I was one of those guys). Doubtful the sweet, beautiful UH alum that I will be escorting to this game will enjoy her surroundings.

Sorry for the long post, but does anyone have a better idea to get reasonably priced tickets or am I just SOL? My girl will definitely suck it up and most-likely take her seat, in head-to-toe "scarlet red and albino white" and give back as much sh__ as she'll have to endure, as is her tough Bellaire demeanor... but I really didn't want it to have to come to that.

Thanks for hearing me out, and respectfully add that I would love to see UH football return to prominence. They're definitely my 2nd favorite college football team.

When you come in here running your mouth, expect to get some thrashing.

If you don't like to, too bad. See ya the Bayou Bucket whipping the Houston team will put on ya...wear a Rice muscle shirt, BRAH!

Seriously... Rice fans, why don't you just go "SAT score" every time UH fans step to you? Or maybe lob a "US News & World Reports" ranking at them?

I love UH (my fiance is alum) and apart from that would love to see their football program be good again (I think Sumlin's a terrific coach), but c'mon Owls... don't get bogged down in the petty arguments about football. I'm Tech alum, and the only thing that makes me shut up when trashing Aggie football is when they make a reference to the "community college" I went to out west. I'm proud to be a red raider, no doubt, but no ex-Presidents are going to be building a library out on the South Plains any time soon.

I'd love to help, but I'll be in the crazy, drunk, student section wearing scarlet and white.
