Just got back from Reckling watching the Owls dismantle the Baylor Bears. Eddie Degerman + Cole St.Clair = unhittable.

bigtexx.. I assume Rice will be hosting the super regional.. how hard are tickets to get? I might try and go to the games.

Hopefully Vanderbilt can win two against Georgia Tech and I will have that to go to, otherwise would like to check out Rice.

You can get tickets without too much of a problem. The games will be close to sellouts, but there should be some room in the bleachers.

Rice would host if they win one game tomorrow.

Now that Texas is out, I'll be rooting for the Owls to go all the way. I actually have pride in my state, unlike some people around here, assuming the roles were reversed.

bigtexxx.. thanks for the info. I will try to check it out. Never been to a game at Rice so this would be a good chance.

I was at the Baylor game today. Sucks for the Bears. So far it's Baylor 7 and ASU 2...so it looks like it'll be Baylor vs Rice again possibly twice tomorrow if we hold the lead.

Btw, the starting pitcher for Rice, never seen so many balls in the dirt, but other than that, damn good player.

I'm a Baylor student, but if they don't make it, I've always rooted for Rice in baseball at least. Oh and Texas is out...woot!

Baylor vs Rice tomorrow at 4pm at Reckling. All are invited to spend a special afternoon watching baseball with bigtexxx on South Main.

They were speaking about how what UT has done in the last 4 years is remarkable for today's college baseball, and that we're not going away as long as Augie is here.

An regardless of bigUTexxx, good luck to Rice.

    Go Mizzou!

After losing the first game to #1 Pepperdine, they've won three straight games, including one in 14 innings and another against the Pepperdine team that beat them two days earlier. So, now they've come all the way back and have a game in a couple of hours against Pepperdine to decide the regional.

I haven't watched a lot of college baseball this year, but I'll definitely be into it if my team is still in it after the first weekend.

Thanks... I've actually been up there the last week, that's why I haven't been posting on here. Now if only I could learn the names and stories of some of these guys playing baseball today... I feel like the ultimate bandwagoner. :p

    At least you're not a t-shirt fan. :p

Have fun...my wife was going to go to Mizzou before her mom got sick her senior year of high school. She loved it up there.

The UT team was too young this year. They lost a bunch of seniors and good players from the championship last year. I had a feeling that they might crash in the post season.
I shall root for Rice from here on.
