You hope a cop beats him up for this? You want to live in North Korea?

Amazing how so many people are for the constitution...but really are not. People like you can't handle freedom of speech or people disagreeing with you.

    Point proven.

I don't get all the hate. Even if you think he's misguided or foolish in his beliefs on this topic, he's not doing anything to hurt anyone, is he?

This whole idea of semi worshiping cops or having to have reverence for what they do is total bull****. Doctors save more lives and we aren't kissing their asses or getting media attention for leaving 1 star reviews on Yelp.

I don't have any beef with law enforcement but it seem people want folks to kiss their rings just because they do their job. Soldiers deserve more respect TBH.

Because a man of color, whom Trump claims is a race with nothing to lose, should be grateful for being paid millions and worshipped by "Americans" rather than using a useless but much loved hobby as a platform to outline racism and oppression.

Because that isn't the anthem of this country? I'm tired of people acting like it is at baseball games.

He's pushing a false narrative that ends up getting people hurt. It's an ignorant and irresponsible narrative. On top of that, I very much doubt he's a "true believer" it's a lot more likely that he's just trying to stir up controversy because he's on his way out of the league. The Castro shirt, the pig cop socks, the not standing for the national anthem....which he did multiple times with no one noticing till he pointed out what he was doing. It's pretty clear he's just being a dick and this is all a publicity stunt.

There's really not much to talk about here so it's a bit odd this thread has gone on as long as it has.

False narrative, but countless studies which you choose to ignore admits racial bias systemically. You like to ignore facts and pick and choose things to trust.

For something that doesn't merit discussion, you've posted 55 times in this thread. With pretty much the same take... "false narrative", "publicity stunt", "illegitimate cause", coupled with criticisms of Kaepernick as a player.

On the contrary, I found it an interesting discussion topic. And as with most topics of debate, there are no absolutes... no completely right, no completely wrong. Probably why it has been debated over so many pages here, and also discussed in the media over other discussion forums.

It also moved me to learn about the national anthem history.

Yes, false narrative. Glad we're on the same page.

It's funny though, that people think that police are "racist" because according to the numbers black people are 2.5 times as likely to be shot by police as white people.....yet the disparity is almost twice that when it comes to the numbers of black people shooting cops. Consider that plus how every major case that the BLM r****ds have championed as a case of cops "murdering" black people have ended up being justifiable use of force....so yeah, false narrative.

Then take into consideration how the "Furguson effect" has led to a spike in murders in the US and you'd see that it's a harmful narrative that ends up getting innocent people hurt and killed.

Well that does add some cred, but what was up with the socks thing? Definitely hurts his cause.

By the way, on a slight different note - the Star Spangled Banner has always been a crappy song. Considering it was written by a slave-owning lawyer who thought blacks were lower than whites, I think it might be something that should be changed, especially since America the Beautiful is so much better.

God is so hypocritical, I agree.

So because he protests one thing in America that affects him directly his protest isnt' legitimate unless he protests oppression of gays in another part of the world despite the fact you and your party support religious freedom bills in this country to discriminate against gay people in all facets of life? That's some platinum.

Bad decision by the police union in my opinion. They should just take the high road. This is probably what Kaepernick wants to happen.
