Colin Cowherd is so bad. Not only can I not stand his "analysis" but the way that he talks with long pauses, trying to make dramatic effect, like he wants to emphasize every single point he says, just annoys the hell out of me.

That said, IMO the Rockets got the harder side of the bracket. Wolves would have been a higher seed if Butler didn't get injured and Jazz would have been a higher seed if Gobert hadn't gotten injured and they were one of the hottest teams in the league in the second half of the season.

But none of that matters. It seriously does not matter which side has been harder... Just like it does not matter who comes out of the East.
All season long we have been asking and been wondering if the Rockets are good enough to beat the Warriors. Our players and even our GM have made it no secret that is our goal. All season long the talking heads have gone back and forth, mostly rehashing the same arguments over and over and over again, about whether the Rockets have closed the gap, or if they have a puncher's chance, or if they would even be the favorites against the Warriors.

There have been other storylines. And yes, best the Jazz first. But finally, this whole season will come down to the WCF and finally we will find out.

Colin was correct, but for the wrong reasons.

Warriors have been more impressive due to injuries -- Curry and Rubio.

I think our bracket is unquestionably tougher if everyone was healthy. Both the Wolves and the Jazzholes are likely the top candidates for the 3rd seed in the west if they could have stayed healthy all season.

But Butler was limping into the playoffs (couldn't even finish game 5), and with him goes the Minnesota defense. And Rubio went down (and now Exum) for the Jazz, who's a key component of their offense.

So as it stands, I think both GS and Houston have had roughly equally easy/tough roads to the WCF.

EDIT: By "everyone healthy", I mean everyone but Kawhi. God knows what's happening with him, but obviously he makes the Spurs a more formidable team. He basically missed the entire season, whereas the other guys I mentioned had intermittent issues.

During the championship runs the warriors feasted on injured teams to make it to the finals lol

The Trailblazers under performed. The Pelicans have presented challenges but nothing the Warriors can't handle.

We on the other hand had the Twolves who everybody agrees shouldn't have been an 8th seed. We had some issues with them. The Jazz are who we knew they were...a team we can dominate.

Not sure either had an easier road. Both the Rockets and Warriors were favored to make the WCF...so why are we even worried about debating the merits of the road to that point.

    Well just 2015.

In 2016, they played healthy competition... and accordingly, they lost. In spite of winning 73 games. Hell, they almost didn't even make the finals.

Last year, there were no ifs or buts about their championship, but that's because they took that 73-win team, and replaced the weakest link on their roster with arguably the single greatest scorer of all time, and the 2nd best player in the NBA.

LMAO... weren't these the same guys who were proclaiming our doom after just one loss to the Wolves and Jazz? Now that we stopped lollygagging and punked these teams, suddenly we got the "easy" bracket. What next, "the Warriors aren't as strong as previous years"? "Lebron has a poor team"? "Celtics are overrated"?

What the hell? We are the #1 Seed. We are MEANT to have the easier bracket. That's the reward for getting #1.

Zach Lowe had us winning against Minny in 5 too. He's the only guy who seems to be somewhat unbiased nowadays. I also really enjoy his articles about Harden&Capela. I really wonder what he predicts IF!! we play against GS in the finals.

What does it matter what he thinks? His opinion like everyone outside of rockets fans is s*** paper. On a side note all that talk about the jazz missing Rubio people in the media seem to forget GSW faces no kwahi, and no cousins in their matchup. Arguably the BEST players on their respective teams. Can the same be said about Rubio???

Max Kellerman is not supporting the Rockets, he always flip flops. Nick Wright has been right about Rockets and especially the Cavaliers who look like a team that hates each other on some games.

The media cannot survive without a narrative that creates dissention, whether real or not. It's usually more profitable to make things up out of thin air than to consistently report the facts.

Rockets are the first seed they fought the the 8th and 4rth seed whereas GSW fought the 7th and 3rd seed. I'm not sure what is the issue with what he is saying the whole point of getting a higher seed is to be matched with weaker teams.

Cowherd is just another sports analyst who robbed Jim Rome of his style. Jim Rome should be on there doing his schtick and looking at the camera with that face that let's you know: This is TV.

    "The Rockets caught a break!"

No... The Rockets earned the number 1 seed, which is supposed to give them the easiest path to the finals!
