I, too am very impressed with Wade, he is essentially Steve Francis under control and making good decisions, with the exception that his shot is more consistent. He also has a humble demeanor and seems well-disciplined, unlike Francis. Athletically, they are similar.

What I wanna know is whether or not Wade was as explosive before Shaq started playing with him in Miami. Based on the numbers he's been doing since Shaq's arrival, he's looking more like Kobe (not Francis) to me.

he was the real deal last year (I had him in fantasy bball) ... he was just a rookie and battled injuries - plus everyone was riding mello's jock as the no. 2 behind Lebron - idiots

Yeah Wade really went unnoticed last season because of the spotlight on Melo and Lebron.

And his play really reminds of me of Francis' rookie/sophomore year. Their game and style seem very similar

only in the since that they drive and create without fear

but wade doesn't over dribble and he can also spot up for a mid range shot

is wasnt too long ago where people, including myself called wade francis-lite who would go on to become a great player if he becomes smarter. it doesnt seem too far-fetched now to called francis wade-lite. while wade has improved his game, bball iq and adjusted to shaq francis has still yet to improve the one department he lacks sorely in, bball iq. its a shame we may see in what what francis could have become

Wade like Francis?!!!  Are you people kidding? That is blasphomy!

Wade (in his second year) is already ages ahead of Francis, not by numbers, but by his unbelievable SMART play. The guy has a b-ball IQ ten times that of Francis'.

Did you guys see the Magic/Heat games a few weeks back? In the first game Wade and Francis got into it a bit (some good natured trash talk) and Wade CRUSHED Francis the rest of the way (even blocked his last shot to try and rescue the Magic from a loss). In the next game, Wade also outplayed Francis easily, it wasn't even close. Again, don't look at stats, you had to watch the games to see what I am talking about.

Wade is more of a guy that has AI toughness with the competitiveness of a Kobe, and b-ball IQ of a T-Mac.

I think another two years in the league, it will be Lebron and Wade as the two best guards in the league. Did you see the Lakers/Heat game where he got into it with Kobe? He is fearless! He has easily become one of my favorite players in the game, I just love his passion.

In fact, the Heat are so much fun to watch just because of him, I enjoy watching this kid play. I didn't pay much attention to him last year until the playoffs came around, and now that I am watching the Heat consistently, he is as good and exciting a player to watch as anyone can get.

i said francis-lite not francis-like and that was pertaining to his rookie year only where wade's game was much more similar to francis but lower numbers. now wade, because of his bball iq, will become the player we only could dream of francis becoming.

the thing that impresses me is he is also a fearless rebounder he is quick off the ground when he lands which lets him follow a lot of his own shots

He has what I call a "supercharged jump" whenever he jumps up high to dunk or get a rebound or something. He uses his body strength very, very well. But I wonder if he won't be injury-riddled with all the driving inside and the hard banging he recieves. There is a price to pay for not having much of a jumper at this point of his career (although, like all great players, he seems to be making jumpers when it counts). The scary thing is (much like Lebron) they are far away from their primes, now THAT is a scary thought:eek:

WOO HOO! As I said earlier...

I know the heat didn't play up to their usual game, but there are some things to consider:
    1. We weren't playing our best, either
    2. Even with our stupid mistakes, we found a way to win
    3. Our defense had a lot to do with the Heat's struggles

I dont think that Wade is any better than Francis. I am no SOF, but what I see in Wade's game is what I saw in Francis's game ever since college. If you watched the Heat ROckets game, you could see the silly mistakes he made. He just looks more controlled becuase he doesnt seem to lose his temper or look frusterated. But come on, 4-19 shooting, missing free throws, 4 turn overs. Save the, oh he is just a second year, because francis has been getting the same criticism since his rookie season. I like Wade, but just dont see how all you people who hate francis so much, managed to jump on D Wade's jock strap so quickly. Shaq is making D Wade far better just by his presence. You put SF with Shaq and watch him all of a sudden become greatness. Anyone remmeber Francis playing in All-Star games? He plays incredible and totally under control with great shot selection and crisp passing. Its easy to play when you know that there is a 7'2 guy on your side that will more than likely get the rebound for you, clear the lane for you to drive in, or defend the person in the lane that you lost as your defensive assignment.

I saw the interview yesterday morning, and the analyst (can't recall his name either), when asked, 'are these two teams (refering to Houston and Miami) the best in the NBA', he replied, "Yes, the Rockets and the Spurs....oh! I'm sorry, The Rockets and the Heat are the best two teams in the NBA."

That was pretty much what he said in a nutshell, with the mistake and all. I was pretty impressed that someone on ESPN gave us some love.

Wade had a bad game last night. That's not his season or his career.

In his second season, Wade averages more points per game...averages the same number of assists...and shoots for a better percentage than Francis does in his 6th season.

I know that, Im not judging him from just last night. I have been watching him play since his Marquette days. His percentage and points and assists should be up becuase of shaq alone... i thought i already went over this???
