The reporters do. Yes, I know that wasn't all of the audience. But I was also referring to his TV audience as well his entertainment industry colleagues. I can understand how liberals would find his performance funny and accurate. I did not, but I can at least understand it. What I don't understand is saying it took courage. What, like he's gonna get sent to Gitmo or to Pakistan under a rendition agreement? Please.
hey, now we are getting somewhere. at least you understand that it is possible that his criticisms of bush are valid. it takes courage to disrespect the office of the president- in the president's face.
Well, you would be right if you were referring to me . I couldn't really protest much on that one. I haven't been to a show in a couple of months.
Yeah, I have to admit it seemed a lot less like bravery and a lot more like an ill-timed roast. However, Colbert can be funny. I don't see any real problem with what he did here. Again, not the best venue, perhaps, but he was invited, so he can say what he wants. This whole thing seems like much-ado about nothing.
Ummm, OK. Please inform me on what you think Colbert's roast will bring about? BTW, it appears that Bush had no problem that evening lampooning himself. http://www.break.com/index/bushimposter52.html Honestly, sometimes y'all just get irritated over the smallest little thing. I'm very impressed that you are a stright-ticket drone that goes along with everything. To me, the whole thing seemed to be funny. Some parts more than others.
And why? Because they are the educated people who study and analyze what the Bush government does every day. But I think 'hate' is probably the wrong word, more like embarrassed by him.
Yeah but when someone else does it then he has a problem with it. You could see the look on his face. He was not amused. I have to give it to Bush though, his routine was alot better than the looking for WMD "joke" he tried several years ago. That was a real hoot Huh?
Apparently, you didn't watch the video I left. And by the looks of everyone during Colbert's routine, it didn't seem like anyone was that amused. It just wasn't very funny. That said, I've liked the Colbert report. He can be hysterical. The stuff he brought just wasn't his best material. As for the WMD's joke a few years ago? Yes, I did find it funny. It was based on faulty intelligence... Never mind. It's like arguing with a brick wall.
