I watched about 5 minutes of it before falling asleep. The Scalia thing was mildly amusing, but the rest of what I saw was boring.
To understand sarcasm one must possess some semblance of intellect and have an attention span that goes beyond the typical 30 second Faux sound bite.
hilarious but i can't believe he did that routine right next to bush i'm surprised bush didn't punch him
Tha Scalia bit was more than 5 mins into it. And you didn't fall asleep from boredom, you were fuming.
regardless of whether it was funny or not, how can you say it was boring? i can't recall anyone prior to this dressing down a sitting president who is only a few feet away. it doesn't take a genius to read between the lines, fortunately for dubya, and to realize that he was challenging the intelligence and integrity of the commander in chief. in his own way he gave voice to the opinion that many in power, or with access to the media, have but are afraid to express.
I JIP'ed it while flipping channels. I've never fumed at anything I've seen Colbert do. Usually I find him pretty funny, though I don't often catch his show or his previous bits on The Daily Show.
This Website is required reading for you Colbert bashers. Question: Did those of you who found Colbert's bit "boring", think Dubya's video two years ago at the same function, in which he searched the Oval Office for WMDs, was amusing?
Who's rude to Democrats? I am amused at liberals. They complain about civil liberties being taken away by Bush while one of their heros publicly insults him from just a few feet away. They act like it's so brave that the leftists in Hollywood act like - wait for it - leftists. Yes, it's so ****ing brave for Michael Moore, Colbert, et al to parrott the moonbat line. Yep, they're real American heros.
