I don't know what to think of this game yet obviously since it's not out, but past games have shown I like IW's games better. So I will go into this next iteration of the CoD games with that preconceived notion that is there for a reason. Doesn't mean I won't give it a chance.

I don't know how you can say MW2 is noob friendly. It's pretty rare to see someone new to the game come in and dominate a game. And camping is NOT a problem. They are a stationary person that can be flashed/stunned, and has to cover multiple entry points to their camp area. I don't camp, if you care, I have a couple of stupid vids on youtube (under my handle esstookaytd). I'm not elite by any stretch of the imagination. Just showing I don't camp.

This is not directed to you in particular by the way.

Complaining about camping is silly. They might get you once. MAYBE twice. Anymore than that, the player needs to start blaming themselves, and not the camper.

Compared to other shooters, it most definitely is...

Killstreak rewards that can get you 10+ kills...care packages (4 kills) that can get you an AC-130 or chopper gunner...one man army that can get you unlimited ammo...noob tubes with Danger Close that require no accuracy in shot, specially when you mix in the fact that you have unlimited ammo and can basically just set up shop and noob tube the crap out of every map. Also, the guns dont take much skill to use at all. All the assault rifles are beasts, with very little recoil...there is no learning curve on the weapons. Where as if you look at battlefield bad company, you need to get the hang of using the assault rifles because of the recoil when you shoot.

This was all done to allow the average gamer to enjoy and have fun with the game. Im not saying thats necessarily a bad thing, but it is definitely geared towards being noob friendly.

I think the MP experience will be very similar to COD4. I think Blametruth brought up some great points about what he would like to see. Blametruth is pretty good guy and I like that people respect his opinion.

I think this game will be different. These developers are starting to see that people are not too happy with their product. The biggest problem with IW is their lack of trying to fix issues that plague their game. They are more into making money than to having a perfect product IMO.

Many elite players have talked about how easy MW2 make it for Noobs. It's very Noob friendly with the weapons and killstreaks. There's hardly any recoil with the guns. Killstreaks have helped with Nuke boosting and camping. One Man Army is a joke along with noob tubing. You can't do much if you're playing in a match where all the players are using noob tubes...

What made COD 4 such a good game was you had to learn how to use the weapons in order to play the game. That's why I loved that game soo much. Some of the guys that play MW2 would of never been able to play MW1.

Don't get me wrong friend, I understand where you're coming from. I normally get my paybacks with campers but MW2 should of fixed some of the issues by now. I'm not like the best player out there but I can play. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way...

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to rezdawg again.

The game is not balanced but the best players are still going to win. Despite the weapons being unbalanced I prefer IW over Treyarch. Treyarch is pure garbage to me but IW is done now.

exactly, anything trey arch has "accomplished" has been just a crappy copy of stuff infinity ward did first. This trailer looks almost identical to the MF2 trailer even

Is that a bad thing? Its like saying that you dont want a 500 hp car from Mercedes because Porsche came out with it first.

The trailer looks very similar to MW2...Im guessing the single player experience will be just as exciting as anything IW has done. And Im certain the MP experience will be better than the last installment of what IW published.

Fact is that there is no reason to think that this game is going to be crap. The trailer looks great and the developers are fixing the problems with MW2 multiplayer.

And if some of you do feel that strongly about how crappy Treyarch is...then I ask what game you're going to prefer to be playing next holiday season.

I will continue to play MW2 just like I continued playing Cod 4 and skipped World at War. Why would I buy a brand new game that is hardly any different than the others? I guarantee MW2 will still be played more than Black Ops just like Cod4 was played way more than World at War when it came out.

Maybe my definition of noob is different. It means newbie to me, ie. someone new to the game. For someone new to the game sure, they can "pick" up a gun and play. But they will be a "noob." Again, like I said, I've rarely, if ever, seen a newbie come into a MW2 game and dominate the competition. Just hasn't happened.

I'm not arguing they didn't make the game more general-masses-friendly. Just that I define a noob-friendly game as one where experience buys you nothing, and anyone can come in and compete right away. Now, that being said, good FPS player will be able to hold their own, but still don't know the maps, choke points, rush patterns, hiding spots as well as someone who is no longer a "noob." I really hate that term, but it's what the kids are using these days so I'll use it to avoid confusion, haha.

Killstreaks...plain and simple, don't let them happen. The moment I notice someone is 7-0 (or called in a Harrier), I'm shooting the plane down, and then hunting their ass down.

I'm not saying MW2 is a perfect game. It certainly has it's flaws. Perhaps I'm fortunate and haven't run into many OMA grenade launcher players. I play on a nightly basis on PC, and 95% of the time, I have an enjoyable experience.

The best players don't always win but I understand where you're coming from. A noob can have a great killstreak that will help them win.

I'm not sure about that. The same players are almost always on top of the scoreboard. The kill streaks were certainly overdone because some are just too powerful, but I don't really get the "noob friendly" thing. Every "noob" thing in the game has something to counteract it. All the perks and attatchments and guns have strengths and negatives

It's not necessarily that I think Treyarch is crappy. I just felt like their games weren't as good. Again, I'm not ruling out Black Ops on this alone, I'll do some research, check out reviews and such. Just in the past, you saw CoD1 and 2, were IW. Great games. Released I think 2 years apart. CoD3 (Trey) the next year. not so great. CoD4/MW (IW) the next year. CoD5 (Trey) the next year. CoD6/MW2 the next year.

That pattern seems that Treyarch was filling in the 2 year dev cycle for IW and capitalizing off the Call of Duty name. Can't blame them. It's made them some money, and their games aren't low quality. I just didn't enjoy CoD3 and didn't even want to play world at war after checking it out.

I hope they win me over. Or I can just wait for what the ex-IW guys come out with next. I'm really wanting a Military-based MMO though.

I'm sure you'll have a lot of people by past playing Blackops and stick to MW2. The fact remains is Treyarch is trying to fix certain things that IW was unwilling to fix. Black Ops will be a different game than MW2 when it comes to MP. Storyline? Probably not...

I would say 80% of the time the best players win but in my experience, TDM is a little different. The best players don't always win. Sure you have launchers to take out the Harriers and the chopper gunner but you can't control what your teammates do. How many times have you guys played in a game where the same idiot is running out there getting killed by the air support?

So blame the stupid player, not the game, heh. Plus, go shoot that bugger down before your teammates give the opponent a nook!
