I actually wasn't referring specifically to Kingrene's post. Mainly, because I think it rests on a number of false assumptions.

For example, the gist of his argument seems to be that society has the right to impose its own moral standards barring categorical proof that homosexuality is biologically determined.

Problem is, that's not grounded in logic. The argument rests on the ability of the mob to control function. Personally, I could care less what "society at large" thinks. I'm more interesting in determining what is ethical. My argument above is based in ethics and logic, not mass morality.

Quite frankly, arguing that a specific group has to gain universal acceptance in order to gain equal rights is dangerous. The problem with allowing public opinion to determine minority policy is that the minority will almost always lose regardless of justice. That's why we don't live in a "mob rule" democracy.

And the preponderance of evidence *does* lend credence to a belief that homosexuality is biologically determined. In the past, real brain-differences have been found between homosexuals and hetereosexuals. I will grant you that these studies have not been conclusive; but to claim that no evidence at all exists is false.

I never claimed that no evidence exists- you made that up. I stated that nobody knows the truth conclusively.

If you are going to convince middle America that you are right, you will have to find better arguments than your emotions and Christian bashing.

I love counterexamples as much as the next person, but comparing homosexuality with incest or pedophilia is a weak analogy.

When did haven engage in 'Christian bashing'? Is disagreeing with the mass sentiment always 'Christian bashing'? When Martin Luther questioned the selling of indulgences was he 'Christian bashing'?

You have a belief. Someone posted something that was different from that belief, spare us the theatrics.
