This is pretty off, by that logic "break out" means winning a championship or coming close. Dirk broke out in 2010-11, Hakeem in 94-95, wuut? They were top 10 in the league before that.

I seriously think he hurts the team more than he helps. Less team ball and touches for Zach and gasol.

 

if they didn't have him, they'd need someone similar. With that roster, they need a secondary playmaker who can shoot. Gay's simply flawed, but i don't know that they can get someone better.
Also, it's a bit unfair to say that they are worse with Gay after they just had a better season with an out of shape ZBO.

 

Rockets fans HAVE to dump on Rudy because it makes them feel better about that shortsighted deal that only gets worse with time.

Gay is the SF version of Steve Francis. Great physical tools, not the best fit at his position, and an eternal tease year after year.
