Geoge Karl. Without him Denver was a lottery team, with him they are one of the most feared in the coming playoffs.

Either D'Antoni, or Skiles. I voted for D'Antoni

carlisle. their season has been the trainwreck of all trainwrecks and somehow they've kept it together. 3/5 of their starting lineup gets suspended for a large amount of time, their second best player for the whole season. their pg has missed tons of time and the guy who got back quickest from the suspensions has now been out for another long stretch of games. true, it's the east but they could've just up and folded and said "what the hell, there's always next year" but they not only didn't, but managed to move their way up the seedings. that's unbelievable.

mcmillan and skiles deserve a lot of credit but indiana's season just stands out to me.

and is there any game minimum on winning the award? can karl even get it?

Skiles or Karl. Those teams have rebounded impressively.

Phoenix picked up so many players (Q, Nash) that it's a freakin walking all-star team...Miami got Shaq, Indy has a stain, Seattle tanked at the end of the season...leaving Chicago and Denver

I do think CD should get some votes for GM of the year, but Phoenix might get that honor.

I can't see how it can be anyone other than Carlisle. He's managed to make the playoffs w/o Artest and substantially missing PT from JO and Stephen Jackson. Artest is arguably IND's 2nd best player. Remove the 2nd best player from D'Antoni (Nash or Amare), Karl (Melo or KMart) and let's see the results. Skiles is going to be sans Deng and Curry for the playoffs. We'll see what he has to offer coaching wise.

It's got to be Rick Carlisle.

my vote is for carlisle, what he's done with that team is too impressive.

anyways, jvg should definitely be an option on the poll. with a completely different roster from last season and the amount of in-season changes his team has a chance at 50 wins which is pretty impressive.

i can't believe karl is almost winning this thing. i don't even think he should be an option. he's coached what 30 games? personally that's not a big enough sample. even though they are playing the best ball in the league there are zero guarantees they play this well over 82 games even with karl there at the beginning. there are people just as deserving who have been there the entire season.
