Why did I find that depressing? McHale spends a lot of time praising the trades that POR and OKC did, which made them stronger and more versatile. Really gives perspective to our trade haul, which is a whole lot of empty, esp. if McHale does not play them much.
Ha! McHale almost had a slip of the tongue. Talking about areas they need to improve on like spacing, transition defense, and pace. "We really need another ... (then he stopped himself--you know he was going to say "playmaker") we really need to push the pace more ... " Obviously disappointed Dragic fell through our hands.
I feel bad for McHale, even during the Red nation roundtable he mentioned that he talked with Morey & Leslie about another ballhandler / playmaker and they didn't even get close to adding one. I think Morey going after Dragic hard was foolish to begin with.
It's mentioned at the start how McHale would not be able to comment specifically about the new Rocket players because the deals have yet to be completely official.
