LOL! I know. For a moment there I had to check back on JB's comments to make sure it wasn't JVG saying those things :D

This season will be fun, and that's a HUGE understatement

Personally, I could care less for all the compliments.

The Rockets have a better team. Sloan wishes he had what we have.

Personally, I think the post Stockton and Malone years have been very interesting for the Jazz, particularly the first year when they made that big playoff drive.

I say interesting because it was amazing how Carlos Arroyo just stepped in and all the sudden became Stockton, while at the same time Malone was languishing in mediocrity on the Lakers. You could argue that Malone was injured, which he was, but was he THAT injured.

I tend to think that while Stockton and Malone were good at what they did, they were actually more products of the system than the top 20 HOF'ers they are made out to be. Take them out of Sloan's system and put them elsewhere and they aren't superstars. (for further evidence, look what happened to other former Jazz players when they leave - Arroyo, Ostertag, Bryon Russell, etc... - suckville!)

You gotta hand it to Sloan. He knows how to get the most out of his players.

Osterfat has always sucked! You're right about those players though, I remember Sanden Andersen and Howard Eisley being decent with them and completely sucked when they left. It could also be that they were good b/c of Karl and Stockton. Who knows, who cares? Rox got 2 titles while they were in their primes and that's all that matters.

nice to see the words "athletic" and "rockets" being used in the same sentence.

It's not 1996, the Rox are no longer threatened by the Jazz and they're not really competition to us right now. It's okay to say how great a coach Jerry Sloan is b/c he really is on and off the court.
