A lot of complaints I read throughout the season was "omg another Iso Harden play", so maybe it ceases? He is an X's and O's type of guy from what I gather, so I say we wait to see how the roster is improved. No matter who is coaching, this team will go nowhere as it is at the moment. I'll give him a shot.
What other team's fans are saying: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1448353&sid=c8cd58a0a941f288878d955a84e58c90
At least we'll have better offensive sets than the patented Harden dribbling down to 2 seconds while everyone stands in the corners waiting for the pass at 1 second to jack up a contested three.
"If nothing else, this means that Harden is a decent shot to be a fantasy league MVP next season." that's a positive.
MDA's teams offensive ratings from most recent LAL - 21st LAL - 9th NYK - 21st NYK - 7th NYK - 17th NYK - 17th ---- PHX - 2nd PHX - 1st PHX - 2nd PHX - 1st PHX - 21st ---- It's crazy that people think this automatically means the Rockets will be better offensively. I mean, I think Harden is an amazing offensive player, but he's not exactly the Nash mold just because he can run a pick and roll. I mean so could Melo, so could Kobe, etc. This is a joke of a hire. The only thing positive about it is it might finally lead to the full tank job the team will ultimately need when it backfires.
He's been on Team USA and the Sixers watching some of the best coaches. He's watched the evolution of his own offense. He's agreed before signing to a strong defensive assistant. Let's give him a chance.
ok I'll take a shot at something positive: Harden is the most talented offensive player suited for D'Antoni's style to play for D'antoni since Steve Nash. Yes, D'Antoni has had Kobe, Carmelo, Amare (twice), but none of those guys were as suited to D'antoni's style of play as Harden is. Here's a bonus one: History says you need a top 10 offense and top 10 defense to be a legitimate championship contender. History also says that, D'antoni can reliably deliver a top 10 offense. If Les really wants to go all in on D'antoni ball, the Rockets will sign a whole bunch more offensive talents, mold them into one of the best offenses of all time, and truly challenge that notion you can't win without a good defense! I hope you guys like Harden starting at PG, Beasley at PF, and Ryan Anderson starting at C, because that's on the table.
going to wait until the season for a real judgement. now its rounding out the staff and then moving on to player movements
I mean the only real positive is that MDA's teams in Phoenix were known to be well conditioned, so maybe Harden won't be so fat and out of shape.
