How long has Worrell been doing the telecasts? ESPN Classic replayed an old game from like '81 the other day, back when Calvin was still playing, and there was Bill doing the commentary...

Walton is very funny. How can you not love a guy who'll say of a six seed on the verge of upsetting a three seed, "They're trying to alter the course of history as we know it"? Or changing the axis of the universe or something.

I also like Tom Tolbert. But mostly because the first thing he ever said on NBC was in regards to Chamberlain's 100 point game: something like, "Forget the 100 points, what I'm most impressed with is the 20,000 women. This guy got more tail than Fusaichi Pegasus!"

I use to hate Walton but I met the guy and really was interested in talking about basketball. he could talk for hours about it. He told me LAST YEAR, that he didn't like JVG.
I give him props for grouping Robert Horry with MICHAEL JORDAN. hahaha

    marv albert is the best
doug collins is too soft and whiny. he says the word love like 100 times during his broadcasts

bill walton aint funny, well, his jokes aint funny.. but u can laugh at him and at how stupid he is .. I dont know how he was successful as a player.. because when he talks, he seems to have no clue of what b-ball is .. . he sounds like a soccer coach analyzing basketball.. :D

I miss Calvin too but Van Chancellor was downright hilarious.

I'm starting to accept Walton's buffoonery and am kind of able to enjoy it occasionally now, although I wouldn't have given him an A+.

But in my opinion, Hubie Brown is an A+++. His understanding of basketball and ability to teach and explain is unparalleled.

Hubie Brown gets an A + from me. He explains the finer details of the game better than anyone else IMO.

What do you guys think of Tommy Heinsohm on Boston home games? He is a homer-but very funny-"Waltah Macahhdee!" Now Walter McCardy is in Phoenix,.

Your dead on the money Jeff. Bill makes that broadcast bearable. He is the consumate pro. Imagine going from Calvin to Van to Drexler. He just goes with the flow of whomever he's working with and makes the show flow. For all those who hated on Calvin you now have Drexler to put you to sleep and add nothing to the broadcasts.

Now imagine a less qualified play by play man with that trio of color men.

Drexler's turned into Magic Johnson. trying to do crap besides basketball and failing. Tho Magic has been successful in his theaters and his investment in Star bucks.

Drexler's BBQ is no good, plus his coaching and broadcasting stints are bad. Just retire Clyde! I mean, i'd replace Clyde with Lisa Milosky!

I suppose I'd be condemned as a heretic for saying I actually like Clyde as a commentator.
