I like this one!!! This is another media clown reporter from the east coast .......can we all roxs fan say: B.I.A.S. !!! Thats why I don't subscribe 2 this crappy magazine that this B.O.Z.O. works 4!!
38 points. 12 rebounds. 8 blocks. I think Yao just took away Marty Burns' speaking privileges. Permanently.
I went to some of the articles that Marty Burns has written over the last 4 months about Yao, and he was surprisingly pro-Yao in the 2 feature articles I spotted. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/inside_game/marty_burns/news/2002/06/24/burns_insider_ming/ http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/inside_game/marty_burns/news/2002/05/01/yao_burns/ PS: Here is the link to the editorial articles from CNNSI 's Marty Burns archives http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/inside_game/archives/marty_burns/
I think Mr. Burns is a very smart guy. If Ming turns out to be a great player, he will get the credit of having labelled Ming a 'potential franchise center'. In case Ming turns out to be a bust (which is very unlikely IMO), he would say "I told yall that he could be 'an Enron-like disaster'". It's going to be a win-win situation for Mr.Burns.
CNNSI can write anything they want ,but onething I'm certain, they will shoved it in their ass whatever they say about Yao. Yao will be one of the most dominant player in the league for years!!!
I'm just enjoying the hell out of all of these nay-sayers in the press. Guys like Burns are just jumping on the all too familiar "Down with Yao" bandwagon. I wish I had been taking names up to this point. As it is, Marty Burns shall be the first person I write a letter to when Yao has established himself in the NBA.
Your wish. My command. http://207.44.140.146/php3/showthread.php?s=&postid=533682#post533682 Please post additions as they come. I have a feeling some will be coming soon.
I think one thing that is important to remember in all this, most media people are going to take a firm stance on any player in any sport before they know much about them. This guy wants Yao to fail so he can say, 6 years down the road, "I told you so". Its more about establishing his own credibility and legacy more than his opinion on why he thinks Yao will be no good.
Agreed. This defines ignorance in my book. Again, completely agree. A list makes it easier for the less-forgiving to call him on it.
I DONT CARE HOW MANY POINTS YAO MING SCORES. JUST AS LONG AS HE GETS US REBOUNDS AND BLOCKS. AND **** MARTY BURNS
