[CNN] Virginia Tech Shooting

Why in the flying f*ck does this stuff happen?

 

I heard that they had an Asian male arrested but let him go as he was not the shooter.

 

Crazy people + Sheeple =

 

It's no small feat to kill so many people by a single person. I guess some people also killed themselves after jumping out of the window.

 

CNN just stated that the government is confirming 31 dead.

 

Thos images of people jumping out of the WTC was the worst part for me.

 

My thought exactly.

Prayers being set out to the families...

 

The one that they were interviewing was shot in the arm.

 

According to MSNBC the death toll is up to 32. The worst mass shooting in US history..

 

Weird. I'm about to head to UH campus. I know it's not likely that something would happen, but I'd be lying if I said my mind isn't thinking about it.

 

SKY NEWS: Witnesses said he was heavily armed and entered the college looking for his girlfriend... He reportedly lined up students and opened fire at them. He was said to be a young Asian...

 

CNN and AP reporting 31 dead.

Sound like this guy wanted his girlfriend to feel partly responsible for all these people's deaths.

 

I know there are some people on this board that go to Virginia Tech. I haven't read this thread, as I'm stuck on dial-up for the time being, but my thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

I can't think of any names in specific, but I know there are a few posters with Virginia Tech references in their usernames.

I don't understand these things. If you're going to kill yourself, just do it. Don't bring others into the fold.

This is senseless and stupid.

What I find most disturbing is that the lady on CNN is bringing up crap about how all these Asians and one Algerian have been the shooters in past college campuses. She's saying maybe their race has something to do with it.


I'm sorry but that's just redicilous and inappropriate to bring up at this time. The "FBI Expert" then says, "Maybe it's that our culture is more demanding than Asian culture..." . I'm not Asian, but I know that is an absurd statement to make, as Asian culutre is just as, if not more imposing than American. That was completely inappropriate and lewd conduct on CNN's part. I'm offended for Asians.


Anyways, that's not what this is about.


My heart goes out to the people at Virigina Tech. I don't know anyone from the school, but I'm wishing the best.

 

So far all of my friends are OK... Prayers go out to the rest of the school and the victims...

that is some horrible and tasteless reporting but who could really be surprised with how the media is these days...whats next? "asians outdo white kids in school again."

I don't see how race has anything to do with it. I am much more interested in social or religious contacts.

 

They're saying this is officially the deadliest shooting in US history (not just school shooting, but overall). Is this right?
