I consider hate to be bipartisan. This racist hated jews. If I had to pick a word to describe him it would be racist. His racism might have stemmed from some paranoid schizophrenia in which case I would say crazy racist.

The attempt to tie him to a politcal philosphy seems opportunistic and transparant to me.

While this was a terrible tragedy I think there might be some good out of this. A black man dying in defense of the Holocaust museum is a very powerful symbol of racial harmony between two groups that haven't always gotten along.
