Am I the only one who got tired of hearing about "Fresh" episodes of whatever show on the WB?

WB is piece of crap, they are not even trying to get good ratings. So is UPN, but at least they landed Everybody Hates Chris

"Scientists have discovered something amazing about the GALAXY. They say the cosmos out there is all black and no stars... kinda like the WB and the UPN... " - Leno :D

Was I ever happy to be watching the Late Night show that day...

Personally, the only thing I ever liked in UPN 20 or WB39 was The Rockets. :)

If my understanding is correct, CW will be carried on stations owned by Tribune Broadcasting. IIRC WB 39 is owned by Tribune. So the only station in Houston that will fold is UPN 20. It sounds like they will take the best programming from both network...considering UPN has no good programming, WB just killed UPN.

    Goodbye 20 Vision!

:D Funny joke. I don't like either channel. Just like you, I only liked them when they showed the rockets. I think I used to watch wrestling on UPN20.

I'm in College Station now and they don't even have a UPN channel. :D

So no loss there. And we don't even have a full time WB channel here either. FOX switches over at 9pm and becomes WB.

    Thankgod for Cable.

I remember when Austin lost UPN 13. We were all pissed in the dorms cause we couldn't watch Smackdown anymore. Turns out UPN wanted to consolidate the Austin SA market. That should have been a sign UPN was dying.

I have hardly watched ANY cable or network TV for some time -- except sports and news. So basically I am paying this Cable TV money for a very small proportion of the service.

Now if someone can create an all Sports + some news network, and spare me the rest of it with a smaller fee, that will be brilliant.

Good luck and try not to worry to much...These things are out of your control...We're going through an merger/cquistion now and honestly, if I get severed, I'll take a month off and chill...Then I'll worry about getting another job later...

eventually, cable networks or satellite need to come up with a service where you can pick what channels you want and just pay for those. that would be great. i watch like 10-15 channels out of the 79 i get, not including league pass. so if i could just pay for those channels that would be ideal.

Chris Griffin: Where do you think you go when you die?
Southern boy: I learned from church that if you're good you go to heaven but if you're bad, you go to a place where the dead believe they're still living and they pray for death but death won't come.
    Chris Griffin: UPN?

20 doesn't "fold." It becomes an independent station, owned by Fox. Chances are good that station will be the new home for the Astros and Rockets. Fox owns the rights for the games, which they have turned around and sort of leased to Channel 51. It's all very confusing. No one really knows what the heck is going on yet.

Tribune is the largest affiliate of the new CW. All of Tribune's station with news will become the CW. The three WB stations Tribune owns that do not do news will become independent stations. The UPN stations in those markets are owned by Viacom, and those will become CW stations. The rest of the markets that have a WB affiliate and a UPN affiliate and neither are owned by Tribune or Viacom are up for grabs. The ownerships in those markets will have to duke it out for the CW affiliation and the loser either becomes an independent station or folds.
