from www.gottadeal.com Due to our story on CNN.com (currently the most popular story of the day) and the subsequent extremely high amount of traffic we are receiving, our main GottaDeal.com site is temporarily closed in an effort to keep things running more quickly (Thanks, CNN )
Actually, Black Friday is not because its a Horrid shopping day, but its generally the day that retail stores go out of the red and head into the black financially for the year.
I might be the only person that enjoys going out and shopping on Black Friday. It's just fun being a part of the gigantic capitalist machine known as America...brings a tear to my eye, really...
Well at my local SuperCenters, one year people started showing up at midnight and putting the specials in their baskets and waiting until 6 AM..insane. Now people generally get up at 3-4 in the morning and head to Wal-Mart to get in a line where tickets are handed out. Those that receive a ticket get a piece of the merchandise on sale, don't have a ticket you don't get a thing.
Not according to the article I read: What makes the possible offer particularly interesting is that Wal-Mart often will stock 50 to 100 of its "special deal" PCs in each store. By contrast, some retailers will sometimes stock only a token number of advertised specials in each store.
