He's showing off self restraint for his simmering bigotry.

Looks like Shaniqua has some pretty neat handwriting and makes a semblance of a case for herself. All I'm saying is it isn't as outrageous as we're making it out to be (except the $2,000 for stress).

I'm impressed, +1 for the Bronx.

She is an IT major and she can't add $70k and $2k. It's not $75k. Math skills are very important in that career field.

FLAGRANT1, most people graduate with about a 2.8 to 3.3.... however people on the internet are an exception....

I KNEW MacBeth was still here under a different name!

For whatever it's worth, it's what, about ten posters ridiculing Trina's GPA? Is it really the much of a stretch to imagine that there are more than a handful of people here who were better than B- students in college?

I think my school's career services did a bad job. I laugh my @$$ off every time I get a letter asking for money. I found my job on my own so they ain't getting jack from me.

Fact is most people graduate with a GPA around what she got, to make it seem like she deserves to be sweeping the floors of McDonald's for her efforts is a slap to the average student's face. Trying to make yourself seem better than someone else on the internet is lame (even if it might be true).

dude, no one is saying "haha, you have a 2.7 GPA, you fail at life"

it's more like "haha, you tried to sue someone because you have a 2.7 GPA". Jesus, three months is almost nothing.

What I don't understand is how in the world can she be asking for $70K? She filed a "poor person" case so that she wouldn't have to pay for the proceedings. Also, in the court documents, it says that her mother gave her $100 a month for living expenses. All signs point to her being broke = a load of financial aid!

No way in hell her schooling actually cost her $70,000!!!

Jeez, I can't believe the reaction this story has gotten! This woman is a frickin' genius. I've contacted her about making this a class-action lawsuit. Even though it was a decade ago and I did ultimately get a job from one of their leads, it took me eight months! And that's despite a 3.3-ish GPA and a solid attendance record from a prestigious school. I suffered through dozens of rejections. And the career counselors were just kicking back in their faux-gothic offices, just laughing at me!

If any of y'all feel like your career office didn't do enough for you despite the hundreds or even thousands of dollars you've paid them and you want to join our class action suit, post here or email me through the board.
