Hey Heath, I just saw the new look CM site. I like the dark background. However, is there any way you can lighten the link text. That dark blue on black is hard to read. I know I can do it in my browser but it is easier to keep my browser set to whatever the links color is set to on the page.
The blue for all look was an emergency thing I did. I wanted to add the logo, and I thought since that was with a black background I make the site have black background too. This of course did not change the textstuff of the site which was mostly in black except for the links. As I had little time, and did not remember just quite how to do it I just added font color=blue for just about everything. I will fix this later.

Changes for my team.... Coaching: Put Gould in Fitness, Skills, GK Put Thackeray in SKills, GK, Shooting Put Montero in Fitness, SKills, Tactics Keep Connor the way he is. As for Training move all players under 25 to skills training and everyone else into general training. I also want to try and get John Hore a little PT maybe at one of the MC spots. Also list him for Loan. CK
Fixed now - also added a full update for Carlisle and fresh textfiles. Now for something else: This an interesting post I found about training at sigames. http://community.sigames.com/1/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=21019056&f=06419017&m=3481972174 And for those not registered - here is a copy of the first post in that thread, posted by KiwiNZ: There are 200+ threads about player training on these various forums, plus many downloadable training regimes. I thought I’d try to add some insights based on having tried many of the suggestions. My advantage is that I’ve been able to accurately measure and quantify the results. What follows is I hope a more objective and scientific examination than has been done before. The secret has been a little utility called Attributes Editor by Massimo Romagnani. This is downloadable from the Sigames website (CM0001/savegame). Forget the name “editor” and the emotive responses this generates. All this utility does is record the numbers you can see on the screen, which you could do yourself with a pen and paper. It tells you nothing about hidden stats. I don’t see how this can possibly be cheating. The utility spits out a table of your current squad in spreadsheet format. Having downloaded the attributes it is time to analyse how they have changed. I’m no programmer, but I’ve set up an excel macro that: - calculates the changes from the prior period (you specify when, since last month, start of season etc) for each attribute for each player - sums these by player and by attribute for the whole squad - ranks the squad from first to last in terms of improvements - prints me a consolidated report by type of skill, i.e. a squad total for changes in fitness, skills, shooting, goalkeeping and other. For these totals the attributes are grouped as below. - shows for each attribute how many have gone up/down. This turns out to be very handy for assessing how the training regime is working. One thing you quickly see is which training aspects are impacting which attributes. St George McD basically had it right when he listed these as: Skills: Creativity, crossing, decisions, dribbling, heading, passing, set-pieces, tackling, technique Tactics: Marking, off the ball, positioning, teamwork Shooting: Long shots, finishing Fitness: Acceleration, agility, jumping, pace, stamina, strength The main drawback of this utility is that it requires VisualBasic 6 to run, something the average punter probably doesn’t have. I got it installed specially. Observations(some of this is old news) 1/. Almost all of the improvement seems to come from having players on intensive training. If the squad goes on intensive skills training, the overall technique score will jump up etc. Medium training seems to just hold the status quo, light merely slows the rate of decline. Earlier I had good young players on medium fitness all season – their fitness stats dropped slightly over the season despite playing a sensible number of matches. 2/. The impact is fairly immediate. If I switch the intensive area of training there will be a clearly detectable change in squad ratings at the end of that month, even if the intense period was only a couple of weeks. 3/. Conversely, the rate of improvement seems to drop off after a while. You get the greatest changes from intense training in the first few weeks, then things level out. For this reason I feel rotation of the areas of intensity is a must. To my mind the typical schedules for different player types (attack, midfield etc) correctly point to where intensive training should be used most often. But I wouldn’t leave them unchanged all season. 4/. The biggest improvers by far are the young players. When I rank the squad by attribute gains, those 18- 24s who are playing regularly are always at the top of the list. 5/. It is very noticeable how players slip backwards when not playing regularly. Those who are stuck for a season in the reserves, or else have long term injuries, drop noticeably. Conversely, for teenagers even a handful of games can see quick gains. 6/. Young players who play too much and get tired will experience attribute drops. I had a 23yr old, star player who I made captain. By mid season he had already played 26 games when I noticed a general drop in attributes, even though fitness was still 100%. I gave him a rested and used him sparingly for the rest of that season, and he regained the ground. So What Would I Recommend? My basic conclusion is to rotate the areas where players receive intensive training. Players spend most of the time with intensive training in areas relevant to their position, but also get some time in other areas. I now tend to have cycles of 7 rotations, with each phase usually being 2 weeks (i.e. a full cycle takes 14 weeks). You thus get about 3 1/2 complete training cycles in a season. For outfielders I would normally have all areas (except goalkeeping) on medium, with just one area on intensive at a time. Elsewhere I've seen it said that on the basis that invnetsive=3, medium=2 and light=1 the best training has 9 points. From experience this seems right. I would change it only for early season, when players are unfit immediately post holiday and sometime for youth as discussed below. So the rotation of intensive training would go as follows: Defenders: Fitness, tactics, skills, tactics, skills, tactics, tactics Midfielders: Fitness, skills, tactics, skills, shooting, skills, skills Attackers: Fitness, shooting, skills, shooting, tactics, shooting, skills Goalkeepers are a little different. They don’t get as tired. I therefore leave them on intensive goalkeeping continuously, and give them another area of intense training about half the time (ie total points =10, shooting =0). For youth, I find the training can be more intensive since they will not normally be playing as many matches. Therefore I have some periods where I raise them to intensive on two categories at once. I never do this for fitness however. Youth: Fitness, skills, tactics/shooting, skills/tactics, fitness, skills/shooting, skills/tactics You can doubtless think up variations. Limitations The main drawback is that you do have to change your training regimes every fortnight or so. Easy to forget plus a hassle you could do without (a thought for CM4?). Also, as an English Div 1 side I have only average, not top coaches. Therefore I haven’t been able to explore what differences better coaches would make. Anyway, this has worked very well for me. Good young players can typically raise their total attributes total by 60-70 a season, ie an average of maybe 3 points for each skill. I hope it will for you also.

Due to uploading problems the latest sim round have only been updated with textfiles to Castor's server. That is the textfiles linked from the teampages - these are not usually updated during the season, but now they are.
