Game 2 of Playoff Round 1 is being played in the chat.

Swansea just beat Shrewsbury in a penalty shootout to face the winner of the Carlisle vs Cambridge matchup in the playoff final.

    Other matchups to be decided:

Cheltenham vs Macclesfield (Cheltenham leads 2-0 from the away game)

Brighton vs Swindon (Brighton leads 1-0 from the away game)

Cambridge vs Carlisle (Carlisle leads 1-0 from the home game)

If you have a game - get to the chat if you can.

Please be back ASAP, SF3 - I want to reboot :)

all games have been close so far.

Cheltenham lost their home game 4-5, but advanced to the final with an aggregate 6-5 score. Macclesfield come back several times (they had the needed 2 goal advantage in this game) but a late penalty sealed their fate.

Carlisle drew 1-1 away, and advanced with a 2-1 aggregate score to face Swansea in the finals. This means we will have a D1 team next year, time will tell who. (Cambridge had the lead, so even this matchup was tied)

Swindon plays Brighton next, with the aggregate winner facing Cheltenham in the playoff final. Brighton leads 1-0 from their away game, so SF3 has some work to do to comeback.

Let me know when you are going to start a new season (you may have already). I would like to try to make as many games in the chat, but it may not be possible to make every game.

You can let me know in this thread or in the future of important games that I need to be there at my email, jfyoung@charter.net.

I have already initialized a new season, but the league games will not start for a while yet.

I also did a complete update for your team at the site (other teams not as lucky) :)

I will probably move up closer to the season in the chat today, maybe even so we can schedule friendlies/pre-season games.

In CM you have something you can do all the time - if you dont have games you can scout, negotiate contracts, buy/sell players, and now in the preseason - arrange friendlies.

You do currently have around 1 mill in transfer fund, but as your economy is not of the best I recommend that you do not buy any expensive players, and maybe not use all of the funds either.

Just come to the chat anytime and I will fill you in if you have any questions.
