As no one posted their wants for the current youth findings you can start assigning scouts again, and hire/fire staff.

    Scouting options:

You can assign your scout to scout:

    A given player

    Club
    Next opponent
Youth Players (just done for all)

Send scout to a given nation
    Send scout to a region

    These regions are available:

Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Central America, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, North America, Oceania, Scandinavia, Southern Europe and UK & Ireland.

If you want to send a scout to a nation that is not listed as an option (18 nations listed all over the world) then I will send your scout to the region instead.

Any questions about your scout, post them here or ask me in the chat. Round 6 will be simmed early today, if there will be a simming at all as I have work later. As Round 6 games comes only 2 days after Round 5, some of your players might have low conditions. Check your selection screenshots, and post your team selection here. (You can also use players from your reserve team if you want/need)

I do not want any of my lesser ranked youth players, so I will send my scout to: UK & Ireland (region search).

And checking the staff search pages on this page:

    http://home.no.net/midgaard/cmleague/index2.html

I would try to sign either

    Steve Wignall
    Graham Turner
    Mark Seagraves

as my 2nd (and maybe also 3rd) scout.

Post if you want to sign these, or any of the other scouts listed. And also if you want to reassign your current scout(s) or if you want to check out the list of the lesser players these scouts have done.

My luck would have it that the only one interested in my club was only interested in joining as an assistant manager or coach. As I have an assistant manager (and I'm not ready to fire any of my staff yet) I can not offer him the assistant manager position, but I can offer him a contract as a coach, so I will do so.

Forest Green Rovers offer Steve Wignall a contract as a coach.

I will now turn my eyes about a 2nd scouting position against:

    Andy Weavill
    Roy Millar
    Gordon Hill

If you want to try to sign any of the listed ones as staff members, you will also have to tell me if you want me to try to sign them as a coach/assistant manager (need to fire your current assistant if you have one) if they do not want a scouting position.

    Any questions? Ask them here....

This was harder than I thought, none of the staff listed wants to be a scout for me.

Note to self: Do not fire the scout you do have

Perhaps I need to have lessen the filter of 10/10 in judging ability/potential. Well if I have to do that I don't need a second scout.

Your scout was not finished with his youth search yet, but I will send him to Italy as soon as he get finished (if you do not want to recall him, but he should be finished very soon).

Same problem for you as it was with me, there is not much interest in scouting for conference clubs it seems.

Of the to mentioned only Bobby Brown turned up as interested, but he was only interested in asst. man or coach, and he was not interested in negotiating a contract for either of those positions. :(

As the scout new assignements has started to produce finds, I'll update what the scouts are assigned to:

If you see an error, or want a change - post it here:

Boville - None of the scouts (3) assigned
    Castor - Scout not assigned
Franchise - Scout assigned to Italy
    Haven - Scout not assigned
    Nomar - Scout not assigned
    SF3 - Scout not assigned
VOR - Scout assigned to Scotland
Puedlfor - Scout not assigned, scouting two youth players
Zac - Scout assigned to Scotland

VOR - Newspaper rumour that Hartlepool may be on the verge to sign David Hall to a 170K deal

DV - Scout recommends Hartlepool forward Tony Lormor (30) as a good signing

Newspaper will make up any crazy rumour they want!! :)

What this means is that there is probably interest from other teams - not that you are willing to sell. Teams can't just buy him - they have to agree with you, or there has to be somthing in his contract. David Hall is signed for the long run - but he do have a relegation release clause - you being last might help speculations that he might be sold in the near future.

    Leigh RMI:
Very pleased with your general performance as a manager.

    Stalybridge:
Pleased with your general performance as a manager. We are sad to see that our fans entusiastic support for our team seams to be vaning.

    Farnborough:
Very pleased with your general performance as a manager. The board believes Steve Watson is an invaluable member of the team.

    Other news:

    Farnborough:
    30/9:
Scout Martin Spong recommends 24 year old full back Ben Chenery of Convey Island (valued at 20K) as an excellent prospect for the future. The report also reflects favourably on Chenery's consistency.

Scout Martin Spong recommends 21 year old central defender Adam Farley of Altrincham (valued at 5K) as a good prospect for the future.

    1/10:
Farnborough signs 30 year old striker Tony Lormor from Hartlepool for 18K.

O'Shea's transfer to Bath City falls apart as Bath can not afford the fee.

    Northwich:

The board injects 300K to help the club cover running costs.

Manchester City offer scout Andy Mutch a position. If the deal goes through Doncaster will get 60K in compensation.

    2/10:
Manchester City offer 24K for backup Jamie Price. Bid rejected. (Also adjusted Price's value to 50K. If you would like to work out a deal to sell Price, please let me know)

    Telford:

    4/10:
Scout report on Denis Stokes. Charlie Walker does not believe the player is good enough to play for Telford.

Scout report on David Williams. Charlie Walker rates him as a player with some potential.

    Have just updated round 13.

Next up now is the FA-cup qualifing matches - a little break from the league. I will sim through them.

    Some news:

    Farnborough:
Scout Martin Spong recommends 24 year old forward Gareth McAlindon of Gateshead (valued at 26K) as an excellent prospect for the future. The report also reflects favourably on McAlindon's bravery while pointing out that the player is an excellent corner taker and takes and excellent penalty.

    Forest Green:
Scout Clive Baker recommends 22 year old full back Gary Odlum of Dulwich Hamlet as an excellent signing.

Scout Clive Baker have found 39 suitable players so far in his UK & Irish search.

    Hereford
Scott Goodwin turned up late for practice and showed laking fitness. Fined 1 week. Fine accepted.

    Yeovil
A television 'expert' commented that Jon Sheffield should be dropped from the Yeovil team as his defenders appears to have no confidence in his abilities. You have told the press that you have faith in your goalkeeper.

Jon Sheffield issued a press statement in which his gratitude to his manager is underlined

    Telford
Peter Smith out about 3 weeks after he suffered strained ankle ligaments in Telfords 1-0 home win over Morecambe.

Telford coach Roger Preece has voiced concerns about Jake Edwards general fitness after his poor showing in training.

    Stalybridge
Jason Batty has requested to leave the club. He wants to move to a bigger club. Request granted. (Batty transfer listed)

    Forest Green
Scout Clive Baker recommends 28 year old goalkeeper Willy Gueret of Millwall as an excellent signing.

    Northwich
Darren Knowles will be out about 4 months after he suffered torn knee ligaments in training.

Peter Holcroft will be out about 2 weeks after he suffered a groin strain in training

Andrew Brownrigg will be out for a few days after he suffered a concussion in training.

I had a big update yesterday before my line went sour.

All teams got their finances and selection screenshots updated per 30/10.

I also have a scout link for all teams that has sent their scout out. Players with 4-5 stars has also come with a report. If you want their report post their name here, and I'll give it out.

Morecambes and Stalybriges search is over, so if you want to assign your scout to a new mission post it here.

    Other news:

Manager of the month: Kinnear of Margate

Player of the month: Peter Smith of Telford

Young player of the month: Nathan Lightbody of Forest Green  - oh well I guess the other youngsters sucked even more.

    Board confidence:

    Yeovil - pleased
    Telford - delighted
    Northwich - delighted
Farnborough - very pleased / believes Steve Watson is an unvaluable member of the team
    Stevenage - delighted
    Doncaster - pleased
Morecambe - pleased / concerned with recent run of defeats
Stalybridge - pleased / concerned with recent run of defeats
    Forest Green - delighted
    Hereford - very pleased
    Leigh RMI - very pleased

    Northwich

Scout recommends 18 year old forward Firenzo Carretucci as a good prospect for the future.

(this after latest scout update on the page)

    Farnborough

Scout does not believe that 19 year old left winger is good enough. (the player scouted in the recent weeks)

Recommends 32 year old forward Peter Duffield of York (20K) as a good signing. Player takes an excellent penalty.

    Stevenage

Port Vale offers 60 K for DJ Campbell - I negotiated the price up. Please give me notice if/and what you would like to sell DJ Campell for. (Valued at 55k - but have a 40K non promotion release clause)

    Hereford

Board injected 600K to help cover running costs

    Leigh RMI

Board injected 220K to help cover running costs

Will sim round 14 now in the chat as I'm off to work very soon.
