Ok Offer 450k for Kilford. If this falls thru I will offer for Quashie. If it comes to it I want to offer less than his value since he is unhappy. CK
Offer for Kilford rejected as he is "valuable" to the team. Want to up the offer? In the mean time I offered for Quashie for you, 300k - he is valued at 625k. Edit: The 300k offer was rejected faster than I could say Bnkwhc, so I upped it to 350k. Edit2: The 350k offer was accepted faster than I could say Aschmathjuova, so I gave him a contract - rotation.

PREDICTION CHALLENGE 2005/6 1. Champions (Winners for all 5 divisions, 3 pts each) Premier: First Division: Second Division: Third Division: Conference: 2. Promotions & Relegations Premiership (relegation only - 3 teams - 3, 2, 1 pts): First Division (3 up - 3 down - 3, 2, 1 pts): Second Division (3 up - 4 down - 3, 2, 1, 1 pts): Third Division (4 up - 1 down* - 3, 2, 1, 1 pts): Conference: (1 up* - 3 down - 3, 2, 1 pts): You decide how many teams you want to put up there and you rank them, not by how they will end but how much faith you put into them winning promotion/being relegated. This part come with a bit of gambling as if you get it wrong you will get the points you would gain for getting it right deducted if you dont get it. For calling all teams the full pointscale will be used, for calling less only the lower points will be used. *) With the one team going down to/up from the conference you decide how many points you want to gamble on each from 1 to 3. Example: Lets say you have Preston, Sunderland and Fulham relegating from the premier league ranked in that order. Then you will get +/- 3 points depending on Prestons relegation status, +/- 2 for Sunderland and +/- 1 for Fulham. So if only Preston relegate of the 3 you end up with 3-2-1=0 pts. If all relegate you get 6 pts, if none relegate you get -6 pts. If you on the other hand only listed Preston and Sunderland, then Preston relegating would gain you 2 pts and Sunderland 1 pt. So getting only Preston in this instance will get you 1 pt net, while getting both will give 3 pts/missing both will give -3 pts. So do you have a gambling spirit? 3. Team Positions (All managed teams) Bournemouth: Lincoln: Carlisle: Cheltenham: Oxford: Mansfield: Plymouth: Luton: Swindon: Scunthorpe: Pointscale: 5 pts - for calling the positon 3.5 pts - being 1 off 2.5 pts - being 2 off 2 pts - being 3 off 1.5 pts - being 4 off 1 pt - being 5 off 0 pts - being 6-7 off -1 pt - being 8-9 off -2 pts - being 10-12 off 0 pts - for unlucky 13 -5 pts - being 14+ off - what the hell were you thinking? The deadline for all these parts are prior to the January 14th round. Last league round prior is the January 4th, and this will be the latest update (and real deadline) so if some games gets scheduled between those two rounds they will not get updated. Also don't worry there will be another post with more parts to this prediction challenge similar to what last seasons prediction challenge had, so we will still do individual accomplishments. NOW for the REWARD!! 1. The current manager reputation of the winner will be increased by 750-1500 pts depending on your previous reputation. (Managers below 3500 will get 1500, managers over 5000 will get 750. For those in between they will use from the 1500 base to get to 5000, and will be rewarded half of the remaining points for the rest.) These points will be added to the score based on what you have after this season, not what you have now. 2. You will also be awarded job security (pretty much what you get in #1 above, but if that isnt enough to land you a new job, should you get sacked, I will alter it so that you do). Also if you want to restart (dont see why) you will be allowed to get a D2 team for winning the contest. No more starting over in D3. Also if you win this for the second time you will be allowed to get a D1 team or any team in D2 not currently under human management. Nice price coming up for winning it 3 times 3. This is for all: All that participates in the prediction will get to increase one of their players based on their score in the prediction challenge. (This increase will not make a superstar out of someone out of the blue, but there should be some improvement to this player) You can also e-mail your picks to me to and I will add them to the thread after the deadline to keep your winning picks from other managers. E-mail in your prediction
http://users2.ev1.net/~chkemp/ccnet/cmleague/ Textfiles updated - 17 rounds (try mirror site if not at Castor's - got some errors there) Watford manager appoined as Wimbledon boss. I put in an application for the job - if anyone else wants in - just say so - but ASAP.
http://users2.ev1.net/~chkemp/ccnet/cmleague/ Full update at mirror site... also added a new segment for the D1 and D2 teams.
http://users2.ev1.net/~chkemp/ccnet/cmleague/ Updated textfiles at mirror-site 20-22 rounds done (depending on division) - also differing within the divisions as some have games rescheduled due to cup-games.
http://users2.ev1.net/~chkemp/ccnet/cmleague/ Another update at the mirror-site. Textfiles + last round can be found in the info screens (1-7). Can also find previous match in the selected match screen. Zac has a new news segment, and with that other should perhaps look to get their important players signed for a new contract. Just to remind everybody that players can sign new contracts for other teams if they have less than 6 months remaining on their contract. They can also sign for a new team if their contract is unprotected but if that is the case you will get a compensation fee set by a tribunal. Yesterday I updated 3 teams selection and stats screens at the main site (Lincoln, Bournemouth and Oxford). Will try to get other teams updated later. With some teams struggling they might want to try bringing in new players - so here is a financial update: Bournemouth: 7841k/7250k Carlisle: 11351k/11750k Lincoln: 2502k/2800k Cheltenham: 1564k/1600k Oxford: 2971k/2200k Mansfield: 5447k/1500k Luton: 1230k/350k Swindon: -170k/0k Scunthorpe: 837k/550k We are about halfway through the season and the date for doing the predictions are closing in. Probably 2 more updates though. And BGM... you are going down this round off course i have Paul Wheatcroft injured for one of the most important games of the year - well I will beat you anyway - at Oxford - you were lucky to come away with a point in Mansfield
Arrgh... can I offer a contract to Sisson as well? I guess now is the time to ask what Alsop and Kleine want, as well.

http://users2.ev1.net/~chkemp/ccnet/cmleague/ The last update before the first parts of the prediction challenge is due. Zac: Both Sisson and Moraitis signed, so you lucked out. Well not really - not a big surprise that they signed for you, but atleast Moraitis had a nice offer to go to a bigger club.
