A Drexler soundboard would be fun, but a Worrell soundboard would be priceless. I can hear it now.....Scooolaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Like someone said, he can only go up. But, everytime I think I want to say something bad about Clyde, all I have to do is watch a NY game...I'll take our Clyde anyday!
Pet peeve alert: establishing a range of scoring and then deliberately going outside that range to make some sort of point. Hey, this recipe calls for 4-5 bananas. LOL I GOT YOU 18!!!11 Anyway, I don't understand what folks' problem is with Clyde. He's hilarious and has a lot more insight (if you listen) than Bullard does since he's been around a lot more. I love it when he talks about his days as a superstar and about Rick Adelman. Like someone else said, Bullard's very dry comparatively. Clyde says ridiculous things sometimes ("Aaron Brooks is a top 3 point guard in this league"), but it's often so ridiculous, it's funny. He knows it's ridiculous, too. Why so serious, people?
True....we don't get many of the famous Drexlerisms like we used to get last year. Things like...rim-clanging shots that fall in, followed by a Drexler,"Nothing but net!!" Or his wide collection of "That's what we (I guess referring to those in the BBall world) call (fill in the blank) ie. "taking it to the rack!!" And he is no longer of accusing players of "clubbing baby seals." No...he isn't this bad anymore... But during the pre-recorded interview he did of Adelman.....there was a reason why the camera never showed him asking the ONE question he asked Rick......because he was frickin READING!!! Come on Clyde...this is Rick...your old coach and friend. Ask him the question without reading it to him. If you mess up....just shoot it again. Bullard is stille bet ter than Clyde hands down!
i actually enjoyed his commentating the last few games maybe he'll continue to get better bullard needs some work too
I have to admit... I was laughing my ass off last night when he said, "we could of seen that travel a 100 yards away..." Bill W. didn't know what to say to that. hehe
