I wish they would put Bull in full time. Clyde is not good.

Worell needs someone in there that he has chemistry with. He hasn't had it so far with anyone but Murph. Why they keep Clyde in there is beyond me.

The way the show currently is if the Rockets are down 20 a lot of people just turn it off and that makes advertisers very unhappy.

Clyde Drexler is king of the cliche. All he does is repeat the same phrases over and over again while bringing no new insight to the game.

Having Clyde Drexler do the color commentary is like the Astros picking up Craig Biggio to do their color commentary when he retires.

Honestly, Clyde may be no Calvin Murphy, but he isn't bad in comparison to other local TV guys. Sure, he isn't always the most prepared and he says a lot of cliches, but least he sounds like he's having fun and his views are not blindly homer-ish.

I have League Pass this season, which has subjected me to some local announcers (IIRC, Denver is one of them) who simply whine about the refs non-stop ALL GAME. Very annoying.

Having Clyde doing games is like going to a game with your buddy who isn't very articulate, but is at least somewhat knowledgable and love the game. Watching those other homer announcers is sitting next to guys whose main enjoyment in going to the game is to boo refs and opposing players.

I would pay to hear Chancellor and Murph call a game together. Give 'em some drinks and just throw them out there, no stat sheets or anything.

I've noticed that too. At least Clyde gives credit where its due. If we lose, he won't say something like well we just didn't bring our best game out tonight. I hate announcers that always find a way to make excuses for every loss. They don't understand that the Rockets play hard defense every game and this will affect their shooting.

Minnesota's announcers are the most unbiased and professional, bar none.

Former NBA forward Jim Petersen returns for his eigth season with the Wolves' broadcast team. Partnered with Tom Hanneman on television, Petersen brings the experience of an eight-year NBA career to his analysis.

Petersen played forward and center for the Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, having been traded to Golden State in 1989 for Ralph Sampson. Before the NBA, Petersen, a native of Minneapolis, played four seasons for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He was a member of the Golden Gophers' team that won the Big Ten championship in 1982.

Before joining the Timberwolves, Petersen, a former Minnesota Mr. Basketball, spent time behind the bench as coach of junior high schools in La Jolla, Calif., and Hopkins, Minn.

I thought I'd give him some time before complaining about him.....

I gave him a chance....but man, I don't like Clyde. I can't stand his comments, most of the time they are exactly what Bill says just reworded and other times they are things I'd expect from a 5 year old.

Also...i just plain don't like his voice.

    Bring back Calvin...

    Or promote Air Bull.

I'm not sure about that. Last season when the wolves took a 6-point lead against the T-mac-less rox at home, the commentators were saying that the wolves "TAKE OVER". What a joke. This is basketball, not hockey or baseball. Later the rox kicked their ass and the wolves didn't make a shot in the last 6+ min until rubbish time.

Clyde is a consummate professional that gives 110%. His broadcasting is Nothing But Net.

cavaliers game..good gosh. just admit u don't know the UH song. but nope. man bullard sounds so much better and sometimes even funny.

i literally has been turnin my tv down just so i don't have to hear clyde's voice. it's the exact same bull crap everyday. and all he does is read the stats off the screen.

i wish they would broadcast just the game sounds / fan noise on another audio channel like SAP or something.

when they do espn and tnt games and you have a surround reciever you can just turn down the center channel to lower the announcers and hear more crowd.

I still miss Calvin too. He and Bill were just a good team. They were funny, smart and brought something to the table. Clyde is a great guy (and I still prefer him and Bull to any of the previous experiments) but I Rocket's brass should really listen to the fans and bring Murph back.

Maybe we can trade Bonzi for Calvin! LOL

Good call on Denver. Nobody is worse than Scott Hastings. Which is a shame, because he spent his career as a funny, Paul Shirley-type. Now he wants to be a hardass.

I can handle, and enjoy, Heinsohn because I know what I'm in for. Once I steel myself for the overreaction to good calls against the C's, I can appreciate the insight and breakdowns.

Clyde's horrible, but he's funny and doesn't try to be a badass. Amongst all the crap commentators out there, I can take him. He's still horrible, though.
