I know, I was just kidding. Hey, if anyone wants Chris Paul, let me know... I'd let him go if I got two high quality players in return. I could use a few 2-for-1's, though CP3 is probably the only guy I have that would qualify as a "1".
yeah there isnt much to pick from in the FA pool...you're pretty much stuck with your current team for the most part. For me, the difference maker was always the ability to predict steals via FA....that option is pretty much gone in this league. That should mean if you didnt draft well you're done, but the teams are so watered down that it actually made the teams very similar. It should remain competitive, even if you think you got a crappy team. We all really have "crappy" teams, just at different positions/stats.
There will always be injuries and suprises. If one or two of those "crappy FAs" you pick up gets a chance to play and end up being like Reggier Williams on GSW last year and averages, say, 15 pts and 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.5 3pters a game, it can be a difference maker given that the last few guys on each team's roster may well be averaging 5 points and 2 rebounds or something like that. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4710 The difference between Reggie Williams and the "crap player" he's replacing is likely to be just as great as (if not greater than) the difference between the the suprise 20/5/5 or 18/8/2 guy in a 10 or 12 team league and the player that guy replaces (where your worst guy is likely to at least averate soemthing like 12 points and 5 rebounds). It's all relative.
****, forgot the draft. Stupid auto-draft took Jerebko when he's out for the season... We need a place to post our bbs usernames so we know who is who.
An offer has been sent. Feel free to reply with any comments or counter proporals. Agreed, I suggest we put in under "Team Slogan." I went ahead and edited mineto say "Carl Herrera." BTW, I sent you an offer as well.
i actually picked up Reggie last year  but in such a large league that chances of that arent as good....some of us picked up 3rd stringers.....many of the good back ups are also gone, so there's less opportunity to pick one up who can step up during an injury. So you were pretending to be yoyo? i thought my memory had failed me...
Pretending to be Yoyo? I don't remember doing such a thing. Yes, it may be harder to find the "Reggie Williams" guys when there in a larger league, but I see at least a couple of likely starters (not great ones, of course) remaining in the waiver wire/FA pool. So there are some chances for the diligent. Anyhow, I tried to get some guys in the latter rounds that at least have a chance at, say, 25 minutes a game: Dejuan Blair, Daniel Gibson, Anthony Parker, Haslem, Toney Douglas, Will Bynum, etc. I feel pretty good abou these guys but you never know.
for some reason i thought it was bigger and gundier who said they were yoyo.....probably just confused then, it was a loooong draft.
I countered. If you can't tell yet by that counter-offer, I tend towards younger potential than older players. I guess I'm paranoid about getting the old guy that finally begins a steep decline or injures easily. Cheezey: I just declined yours. I want to see what Carl says about my counter before I propose one to you.
Replied. There are a few possibilities I can think of exploring, but we can talk about these via email/messages.
