MANY RIDICULED ME for my takes on C. Wood.
But I said it when he got traded, WE NEED TO WAIT UNTIL WE GET A COACH BEFORE WE TRADE C.WOOD.

Well the only difference when Wood got traded and now is that we have a REAL coach in Lionel Hollins. Yes, Silas is the Head Coach but Lionel brings experience and a different voice. And I think, although it provides an option with the lob threat, this is more of a DEFENSIVE MOVE than an offensive move. Alpi is like I said, too slow of foot and he was getting beat on switches and fall backs.

Now, Alpi matching up against backup bigs is going to be a better matchup for him. He will still get 20 - 30 mins a game, depending on the matchup and if he's a TEAM PLAYER, it's a Win Win

What’s wrong with Austin residents? Doesn’t make us less as fans. Tf

I feel like this is inevitable, although Bruno was somewhat unimpressive in the last 2 preseason games as well. In hindsight, we should’ve kept Jarrett Allen.

If us doofuses knew after watching a few games of preseason that this was the move, the Rockets figured it out too.

We’ll get that guy in the draft! It’s for sure the weakest position on the team

It's even funnier considering I was born in H-Town and stayed in H-Town until UT and simply stayed in Austin after graduating. I've probably been a Rockets fan for longer than a lot of our current fans have even been alive. Kids do kids things though. I do find it hilarious that a so-called fan is throwing everyone else under the bus for one single sophomore.

Would have likely had a mid round pick in 2021 and maybe like the 4-6th pick last year. But the Rockets would have Allen though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because of your user name, I always thought you became a Rockets fan because of Yao or Jeremy Lin. Sorry about that.

It’s dumb! I’m born and raised here, but we don’t have a NBA team. San Antonio is the closest as far as distance. I’ve been a diehard as well, even when my favorite players left.

2 out of 3 being “pretty good” is consistent with “somewhat unimpressive”.

Yeah, I have not been in Austin for all of maybe 3 years since 2000. Is it okay for me to follow the team?

No one is pretending they didn’t happen. It’s preseason, at no point outside of the first game (which was good) did they resemble a team.

The luck in the 2021 draft is everything (as long as Green works out) losing that pick would have really hampered the Rockets. Green/Jabari/2023 draft pick and the other talent on the team that sticks with those 3 guys are going to go on one hell of a ride this next decade.

I don’t believe in Alpy but I feel bad for him. Last year it took a 1-16 record to get Silas to take Theis out of the lineup so why a short leash on Alpy? I think he should have given a fair opportunity to prove doubters wrong.
