Turner (TNT) has started advertising for Bleacher Report because BR gets a TON of google hits for post written about the NBA which leads to massive ad exposure which leads to $$$. More google hits = more reads = more $ for their ad space = dumber basketball fans Its all in the name - "Bleacher (from the fans) report". Clutchfans has it's share of poorly thought out fan perspectives, threads, & posts, but you generally get any refutable NBA news & reports immediately funneled into one nicely constructed website for sort of a "one-stop-shop" not just fan posts.
You haven't even been here a month........ One of the reasons people hate BR is anyone can throw together a hypothetical article then someone will post the crap here; often the author of the BR article IMO.
Anyone who says something that people on here don't want to hear gets turned on. After a few people turn on them, everyone else jumps on the bandwagon. No different in this situation.
BTW, thanks guys for the info. I had always wondered what was going on. Many of you have explained it well. It's not for everyone.
It's bad enough reading sportswriters who pretend to be experts. Reading random yahoos pretending to be sportswriters? Ugh.
You don't have to avoid it, just don't post it or site it as a source. It's fan written, and it's garbage.
I hate websites that have slideshows. Anytime I have to click more than once for some quick info assuming it should fit on one page I'm out of there. It's not just BR but there are a ton of website built the same way.
I don't mind Bleacher Report. It is entertaining. I actually don't mind the slideshows and there slideshows are much easier to navigate compared to the thousands of other websites that use slideshows to garner more hits. Anyways, it is what it is, the fan opinion. I like reading things like the top 100 this and the top 10 that, but it doesn't go much beyond that. It doesn't break any news and isn't analytical, but its not bad to pass the time
