Houston has to be the most active team in basketball since Les arrived. Every year its something drastic.

Amare is a stud, a proven all star....I will take him over any of those guys we are trading...landry will bolt for more money else where , brooks is the only one id like to keep cause we have no backup pg

Yao Amare and Tmac would be deadly

    In morey I trust

I'm wondering if the McGrady-Artest situation has anything to do with McGrady not being happy with Adelman's system and direction (moving the ball, being more Yao-centric). I think last year Artest said something to the effect that Adelman was the best coach he has played for? So he's been trying to stick up for coach but going it the wrong way?

Mike Miller plays better team defense than Ron Artest (an absolute lie).

I agree. His style doesn't fit Yao. And without a guard like Nash, Amare is very limited. Plus, he doesn' play much D.

I don't think you can build a team around Yao. But if you have a young, health Nash and Amare, probably you can build a team around them. Just Amare alone? No.

Amare is complaining now about Shaq taking away his shots. And he already shoots a million shots. How is playing with Yao going to help that? You can't wager all our young talent on a guy that seems to care more about being the man than winning.

I really don't know how we could deny a amare stoudemire...

I mean he is one of the best in the nba, and has a sick mid range jumper for his position.

Who knows what's really going on - but IMO Amare won't be coming here and honestly I think that is best for us in the long run. I do think that Carter will be heading to the Rockets, which I suspect will reinvigorate Tracy.

What concerns me the most about Amare is not his current play, but the fact he is a big man playing on sketchy knees. The knees are good now, but what are the chances of not having more issues after micro fracture surgery ?

It will be fun to hear a bit more insider info after all this is over.

If I had been doing the drafting when Amare and Yao were both available, I would have selected Amare, and I have said that for years. Nevertheless, Artest, Head, AND Landry and Brooks is too heavy a price and the Rockets would be stupid to do it. However, I would do it for Nash, Barbosa, and Amare.

BTW does anyone think that the vince carter trade hasn't gone down because we play NJ on tuesday?

Maybe they want to trade after that game so it's not akward or anything if the first game as a rocket, he plays against his than former team.

    Thanks Clutch

I would love that Amare deal but take Brooks out of it and send Alston so we can get Barbosa back and i honestly think no team will be able to stop us.

    Barbosa
    Mcgrady
    Battier
    Stoudemire
    Yao

Wow, you're really overrating our players.

That's too bad considering the Spurs are frontrunners right now to get Carter. I actually like Carter as a player, his PER # this year is lights out.

But, 3 things tell me to avoid trading for him. 1. Do we really need T-Mac and Carter on the same team again? We'd be shipping out the Artest drama to possibly bring more in? 2. His contract. and 3. His contract.

What drama would Vince Carter bring? He was great for New Jersey when he got traded there. A new team could give him some extra juice.

Forget about Amare, the trade with Suns is not gonna happen.

Or is dreaming. Or is playing NBA Live or 2k9. Phoenix just laughs at that offer and rejects it.

    Quoted for emphasis.

What is the price for Carter? I'm just asking rhetorically, I'm sure you would have said if you knew.

We definitely need good shooters on this team, and Carter is one. But, at what cost...

Agreed, one of the small perks to being a Rockets fan.

I like Artest, Battier, Head and Landry for Stoudemire and Dudley. That would be my offer. If they want Brooks, Barbosa would have to be involved.

    Alston
    Wafer
T-Mac (maybe), if not, Dudley or Barry step in here
    Stoudemire
    Yao

That makes the team a lot more athletic and I think that is really at the core of all the team's problems.
