Three of the guys you mentioned (Battier, TMac and Barry) are pretty much done and don't have much to offer anymore.

Vince is the T-Mac we haven't had this year. Only a better decision maker. But, I don't see the Nets biting on T-mac's contract. They can't be that stupid.....

    Or can they

Why would we want to saddle ourselves down with Davis who is already broken down and has a horrible contract for a guy who is no more reliable than T-Mac to stay healthy? If we do trade T-Mac, it needs to be for someone who is younger, healthier and can put up good numbers day in and day out.

In a worst case scenario- I would rather just ride out T-Mac's contract next season and use the money to get a premium free agent the following year.

I don't think Tracy gets traded until next year or not at all no matter what happens. He's a 20 plus million dollar trade chip next season to get some good talent and draft picks or let his contract run out and have the cap space to sign another great player. Trading for Vince or Davis keeps us from having cap space in the future. It's not a Morey thing to do.

According to NJ Daily News...

"In addition to looking at Carter, the Rockets have discussed a deal with the Clippers that would send McGrady to L.A. in exchange for a package featuring point guard Baron Davis, according to league sources. McGrady has been battling knee problems all season, while the Clippers have been busy in recent days trying to move Davis, who they signed last summer to a free-agent deal in excess of $60million."

    J. Feigan says Carter is dead and someone else is in....hummm

He can't, it's not going to happen.

And honestly, the team that is willing to trade for Tracy now... should probably just end their existence on the spot.

Kevin Johnson is the major of Sacremento, he says one of his top priorities is to get a new stadium for the Kings.

And for you newbs, KJ was a former NBA player.

    Thanks Clutch.

Wow I didn't think in the beginning of the season we would let go of artest so quickly. Not even waiting till the playoffs to see if he would help get us out of the 1st round

This changes all the trade scenarios. You can't trade Tmac and you need to keep Artest because you just lost Tracy, trading for a new player for Artest that may take months to build chemistry is not a good idea with 28 games left. If the Rox can play like yesterday we don't need to trade anyone.

They need to do just the opposite. Now they NEED to push for a trade. T-Mac will not be back from microfracture surgery until around this time next year, if it all. They need to trade Artest and whoever else for a quality scorer because it has been said that Artest is not happy here and that the Rockets aren't really to happy to have him here. If that's the case, either Artest won't re-sign with the team or the team won't offer a new contract. If this happens then next year, the Rockets will be stuck with Yao and a bunch of role players. Yao is a good player but he's not good enough to carry the team to the playoffs in the tough Western Conference. If they do not make a deal, the Rockets will more than likely be in the lottery next year.

I think the Baron Davis trade will happen. Its a big contract, but Davis may become more motivated to be on a winning team. I believe this is going to happen, they are just working out the details right now ;)
