I won't feel excited about any trade without TMac being involved. Yes, I want him be traded ASAP.

Yeah, but he has no trade value this year at all. He's worth a lot even injured next year though as an expiring contract off the books in the 2010 sweepstakes.

Do you think the Rockets are attempting to make a trade with the Kings for Miller and Salmons? Thank you for your time.

(Not for Miller. He'd bring a giant contract for a guy that would be a backup center. Salmons would be interesting, but the Kings would only do it for an expiring contract or better prospect and neither seems a match with the Rockets' options. -- Jonathan

He will bring a giant contract, but also an expiring contract

Good, I wasn't too trilled with Brad Miller and Salmons coming over via trade unlike the rest of the BBS. I don't want to become the Houston Kings...

Oh Yeah, Oh Man. Gave up a lot for Barkley to get us back over the hump and doing the same for Amare. No thanks.

Amare is a scoring machine and nothing more, he's another Shawn Marion, he needs a Steve Nash to be productive. Rafer is not Steve Nash.

Trading for Miller would be okay, he's a younger version of Barry. If we trade for Vince, there's two things that they might be thinking. Either they are trading T-Mac and replacing him with an older version that's not hurt, or they are hoping that Vince will bring some life into T-Mac on the court.

I wish we didn't have to trade Ron. I never felt like he would fit RA's system. We knew who we were getting when we traded for him. Says what he means and just lays it all out. I respect him for that. I don't care what the unwritten rules are, someone needed to call this team out, and it's players. If we trade him, I wish him well.

Agree. We could sure USE Amare. Could sure USE Vince Carter. Mike Miller is a very useful player. Salmons and Miller would even be useful.

But its not much of a secret though we're trying to make it one - when Rockets point guards peform well shooting the ball the team has a good shot of winning

For some reason it is hard right now trying to find a point guard in the current market. There needs to be 2-3 more Kirk Hinrich level & better point guards out there and it just doesnt seem to be happening.

    Just saw this on Rotoworld

The Suns are now said to be ready to stand pat with Amare Stoudemire for the rest of the season now that coach Terry Porter has been fired and replaced with Alvin Gentry.
NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com that Phoenix will now try to leave the core of their team intact for the rest of the season and see what Gentry, who plans on re-installing a running offense, can do with the pieces that were so successful under Mike D'Antoni. This news could result in teams making better offers for Amare now, but it sounds like he's probably not going to be moved. Source: ESPN.com

Okay...Amare is not an option anymore.

    This leaves us with:
    Carter
    Bulls Scrubs ;)
    Mike Miller

I had some hope for Caron, but that's passed.

    How about J-Rich?

Here are the deals I would want for Artest.

    1. Baron Davis
    2. Corey Maggette
    3. Kirk Hinrich
    4. Mike Miller
    5. Andre Miller

Any of those would make me happy though....1-3 would be the best IMO.

Yep I'm with you DD, my fav is Artest + Skip for Baron.

Baron's value is at an all-time low right now, the Clippers are actively shopping him, he just came off a full 82-game season in which he averaged 22/5/8, he just recently had a 20 assist game, and he has the size/scoring we need from the PG position to compete in the West. We haven't had anyone like him since Francis was in his prime...

I love BD, but he's been trying to play for the Clippers even before he was drafted. That's his hometown team, and the team he rooted for growing up. I don't think he's gonna take kindly to getting traded to Houston. I think BD would rather play for the Clippers than win...

Why should we get Maggette? I rather stick with Artest. Also, Hinrich is not as good as a lot of people are making him out to be. I rather Andre Miller if we are going for a PG.

Artest is not a starter he is a reserve, and he is expiring.....you still have Battier for defense on wings and you have Tmac for offense as a wing, along with Barry and Wafer.

    And BDiddy replaces Alston....

One decent PG is all this team needs.
