I hope that you mean that he'll play for the rest of the season without missing any more games, and not see any more bad games from him offensively like what we've seen from him prior to this All-Star weekend.

IMO, the team won't jell if T-Mac continues to either have bad games, or be in and out of the lineup for whatever reason--this part of things is the team chemistry issue.

I would not be too enthusiastic about getting Amare if it is at the expense of Artest, Landry, and Brooks. This trade, if it happens, depletes our bench way too much. One of the reasons the Rockets could not get out of the first round of the playoffs in previous years was because their bench was not very good. Given McGrady's MIA status, the SG position is the one we need to address as well as the PG position. And if the Rockets are to trade Artest, please let it not be for M. Miller or K. Hinrich, both are overpaid and overrated.

Am I the only one who thinks a trade for Carter means the Rockets have officially given up on T Mac?

And still no rumors involving a point guard upgrade. :(

Maybe a three team deal involving Phoenix and Chicago where we get Kirk? :)

I dunno if I want to get Amare given that he has history with injuries (knee). Any time when you're trading with a player with a history for major injuries, you're taking a big risk. I like Brooks and he is a great backup for Rafer. I don't think trading him away is a good idea for the Rox at the moment since Rafer has some major flaws.

Landry, I can live without. He's a great young man with a major upside. But with Scola coming into his own and a "win now" attitude by the team, I think giving away Landry wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Since VC and TMAC are cousin,s perhaps getting VC will give TMAC some emotional support?

A belated thanks for the trade talk info, Clutch.

Don't forget the extra first-round pick we gave to the Kings. So that's potentially four promising young players.

It is a steep price, but on the other hand, Stoudamire is a top-tier player. So even if he doesn't work out, it wouldn't be hard to trade him for someone of near-equal value, or at least, another handful of promising young players.

I'd say if it's on the table, you gotta go for it.

he's not necessarily a cancer. he's just injured and when you injured, you play bad and hurt the team on the court.

tell yao to play injured and see if it hurts the team.

Carter or no Carter, I think the Rockets have given up on McGrady.

You just don't trade a player with his talent unless he has baggage. What kind of baggage? Perhaps he's made it clear he wants out. Maybe the Suns are concerned with his long term durability. Maybe it's his work ethic, attitude, or desire to play hard on both ends. Maybe it's something else.

The Rockets would be giving up huge resources to get him, both players and salary, so I hope they figure out exactly why Phoenix would even contemplate dumping a guy who everyone had pegged to be a future hall of fame player.

I would think the Rockets probably have given up on T-mac but just remember Tracy gave up on the Rockets first.

You didn't get my points. Those players should go.

Actually, this is what Morey are trying to do right now!

You cannot rationalize something completely irrational.

The only response to your post should be, "WTF".

I think Amare isn't being traded now that Porter is leaving.

    I don't want Miller.

If we have to trade Artest, then I'm fine with getting VC for him and Landry.

I'm fine with adding Brooks to a package if we get another backup point somewhere.

I'm just waiting for the All Star Game festivities to pass on so we can get some more clarification about what is REALLY going on with the Rockets.

I'm asusming we'll get plenty of Tmac reports tomorrow. I'm looking forward to something. ANything.

    Please.

Two injure prone big men in the team is not quite a good idea, especially given time, Landry won't be too far away from Amare.

I am not too happy giving up Landry and Brooks without strengthening our PG and probably a good SG

If Ron is gone I hope TMac is also traded. I don't believe TMac will contribute this season. Need to get some body to get things done this playoff season. It will be a huge mistake to trade Ron and keep TMac.
