    Trade for Vince Carter:
Houston will do it if T-Mac can play in this and next season. Why will Les take on salary if T-Mac wont play?

    Trade for Amare:
Stupid trade for Houston. Pairing up Yao and Amare is a nightmare, not for the opponents, but for the team. Amare - weak defender, weak rebounder. I dont see Yao and Amare's games compliment each other.

    Trade for Mike Miller:
Miller cant guard a traffic clone and his knee really concerns me. If Morey trades for Miller, I'll say "whatever" - break-even trade.

Desperation to get something at the cost of losing Artest for nothing could be a reason. The main reason through is the loss of Tracy McGrady.

and did you notice that it projected a minus 6 win differential if executed?

Isn't that guard the one that the Rockets were interested in in this past draft? Wasn't there some video of our being on the phone inquiring about him...

What is Phoenix going to do with the extra players acquired in a four for two trade... waive them back to Houston a la Stackhouse?

He's played succesfully next to Kidd & Harris. McGrady would be complaining about touching "the ball once every five minutes".

McGrady's thoughts, feelings, ideals, etc . . . should not be considered in any trades. he is irrelevent as far as all that is concerned

If he has been acting this way cause he don't like someone .. .that is BS
    and
If who we pick will affect his effort. ..then he ain't worth a crap anyway

No. No one else besides T-Mac, Yao, Artest and Battier make more than 5 mil. Rafer is right at 4,900. VC makes 14 mil. You have to give up something "good" to get something good back in return. Nothing else NJ would bite on.

I would like to keep Ron, but the previous poster is right. The chances of signing him in the offseason are slim. Minus well get something for him now.

I'm not too keen on getting rid of both Landry and Brooks. If I had to give up one, it'd definitely be Landry. We need all the help we can get at PG right now.

Amare demands too much time in the paint. Don't see him and Yao working well together.

Amare - no deal - we already have productive PFs.

Vince Carter - Meh.....could go either way on him, don't want to give up Brooks.

Mike Miller - yes please, people that don't like him, do not understand team building and chemistry.

So much talk about trade for Amare and Vince around...

I'm having hard time figuring out what all this trade is supposed to do?.

Amare is a great offense but its hard to balance that with inside presence of Yao. Yao is all we need down low, and since amare is challenged defensively, I see it as a logjammed paint and a huge cap killer.

We need shooters and especially someone who can create. Vince comes into the mould but I'm not convinced he is a winner. Sure Artest is shooting atrocius but he could be of immense help with his lock down D in post-season when games slow down and plays right into the hands of Yao. We know we can win games with the current roster (minus mac). But we dont know how much difference Carter can make and how quickly. If Artest struggled here then theres nothing to stop me from thinking the same could happen to Vince.

We dont need to make big trades just for the sake of making it. We dont want to do something that we might regret down the line. So for me no trades. Rest/ operate mac (dont care as long as we push his trade value up in time). Let artest settle down. And since that is highly improbable as the talk goes, trade for Miller. It's less of a burden.

Mike miller is by far the best fit for this team out of those trades.

You question whether a guy with 2 years NBA experience can match up against top tier PGs.

But you'd rather a guy who zero NBA experience take his place?

    Wow.

How much is the talk about acquiring a "depleted" Mike Miller about re-invigorating Tracy McGrady? Aren't they buddies? I remember that Rudy/Carroll were big on both Mike Miller and Amare Stoudemire...

Even the VC-TMac reunion smacks of that, so is it still all about McGrady?

The point of the trade is for 1. T-Mac and Artest do not get along, that is clear. Who is the odd man out? Artest - McGrady has no value right now. and the 2nd point is we risk losing Artest for nothing come season's end.

It is not about how they played elsewhere but how they fit on the Rockets.

Mike Miller fits on a Yao centric, and Rick Adelman coached team like a glove.
