I know and agree outside of the Timberwolves. They are going down with the Rubio ship.

Dude is a starting pg. Bev and Brooks arent either though

Lin was ballin with on the startin lineup, one game before BEV comes in, Sampson (comes back in that game) Mchale decides to cut his minutes to the point Brooks took over.

question : How the hell does Asik do what he is doing now?

    Lakers: Probably
    Wolves: NO
    Knicks: Probably
    Bucks: Yes
Bulls: Yes until DRose is back

Lin won't start for the Wolves. Lin's D is average to below average for the PG position and Wolves don't need scoring. They have enough scoring with KMart, Love and Pek. A Wolves back court of Lin and KMart would be the worst defensive back court in the entire league.

Knicks? Probably but I am not sure he is that much better than Felton. Felton actually plays OK with Melo ball hogging. If LOF's think Harden marginalizes Lin, Melo is even worse LOL

He'd also be in the running to start or at least play significant minutes on:

    Pistons - Better than Jennings
    Hawks - Comparable to Teague
Heat - Better than Chalmers, but might be a worse "fit"
Pacers - As good as Hill in most aspects, better offensively
Mavs - More explosive than Calderon

Bulls actually really need an interim PG right now until they figure what to do with Rose

Agree that they're going down on the Rubio ship, but Rubio is a vastly overrated basketball player. He doesnt have nearly the defensive impact that many suggest, and he is so allergic to scoring that its a massive disadvantage for the team, Kevin gets swarmed every night, and alot of it has to do with the fact that Rubio is a complete none threat offensively. At this level of baskteball, if you can't shoot, you've gotta be able to drive and finish effectively (ala Rondo), Rubio just can't, hes shooting 35.8% from the field.

Actually no, if you watch the Knicks games after Woodson replaced Dantoni, before the season ended.

LOL, you're overrating Lin vastly. Lin is in no way comparable to Teague. Teague is in a different class.

He will not start at Miami. Chalmers is their guy and the ideal 3 and D guy with the ball being dominated by LBJ, Wade and Bosh.

Same with Pacers. Hill is the better fit and the better PG.

Bottom line is there is not much of a market for Lin. He is too expensive and on a bloated contract for a lottery team and not good enough for a playoff team. Lin is comparable to Jennings, Marshall, Bev etc aka below average PG's in the NBA.

Good list. Although I think LOFs wouldn't like it when the stars of the Lakers and bulls came back from injury.

Nothing about Teague says to me that he is in a different class than Jeremy. If Lin was given the same expansive role and minutes as Teague (i.e. central playmaker on the perimeter), Lin could easily average Teague's 16 and 7 along with likely better shooting percentages. Teague is talented and could possibly blow up in the coming years, but nothing today says that he is in a different class than Lin.

In terms of being a better fit, I can get behind your point that the Pacers and Heat would not start Lin simply due to the setup they currently have. However, if we are looking at being a "better point guard," I think Lin is much more talented and productive than both Chalmers and Hill, who are both very limited players.

Lin would probably suit the Wolves, but only because Rubio is really sucking this year.

The part about Melo is actually a myth. Lin was playing okay with Melo on the court towards the end of his tenure with the Knicks. It wasn't Linsanity but it was decent numbers.

To add to the teams above, Jazz and maybe Pacers, though that one is arguable.

    Ifs and buts...

You are going way off topic. The question raised was along the lines of "which team in the NBA would Lin start for" and not who is a better PG or who is more talented and the latter in itself is debatable.

For real? Jeff is averaging 16.2pts on 41.5%fg and 26.1% 3p shooting to go along with 7.3 assists and 3.4 TO's a game. You call that a totally different class? Ok...
