I agree with your statement about Harden. But McHale knows he can be replaced--Harden can't. If Harden and Howard ever grow a disliking for McHale, he knows he'll be shown the door so he has to tip-toe around the egg shells. I think that is what fuels some of the tension on this team, lack of accountability on McHale's part to hold accountability on certain players while demanding the sky out of others. This is what separates this team from the other western conference contenders, they have cohesion in knowing their roles, accepting it, and playing to their strengths--and on this note, I disagree with you that Mchale shouldn't put Lin in situations to succeed. Is Lin's success a detriment to this team? If so, he should be gone, if not, he should be given the same amount of room to make mistakes as Harden is, because all players have bad nights.

To be fair, if PBev had hit more than 1 three, we might not have needed him to keep us in the game with that charge.

That video might be the funniest thing I have seen posted on clutchfans. Whether that was a serious Lin fan or a parody, it was gold.

    Gold, Jerry, gold!

How does that make any sense? If bev hits a pathetic 20% of his shots we win. You can blame harden too but he is a superstar and he gets a pass every loss. Hey- I have a thought- maybe Lin lost us the game. Hahahaha

Heck, I'm not even looking for the same room Harden has - but how about the same amount of room Bev has?

Bev didnt have a great game last night, but anyone not named Parsons kinda tanked it. I have to say I lay the blame on McHale's feet more for the last 2 plays drawn up for us. Either would have given us the win and both times he had Parsons put the ball on the floor from early on? Makes no sense...have Harden or Lin try to make a play and drive, then kick it out to Parsons for his hot 3 or a backdoor cut to Parsons or anyone else. Parsons just can't initiate the play both times himself from near halfcourt...

Sorry, sort of not posted in the right thread...

That's not what the thread title or post says at all.

Update: The numbers are still clear! And to repeat what I've been saying - I'm all for Bev starting and Lin (with or without Bev) finishing most games. 4th quarter shooting and ft stats have been well documented to show that Lin should be in there for scoring during 4th quarters. Also win loss record with either guy playing more than 30 minutes certainly favors Lin getting 30+ more regularly than Bev.

One more time - it's not a Lin vs Bev thing, it's a smart vs dumb coaching thing. You just don't keep going with the guy that's shooting .09% when your backup who is considered an overall pretty equal player to your starter is shooting %66. No amount of on ball defense is going to make up that deficit in scoring.

So... are you not gonna post the updated off/def/net rating numbers as per your earlier challenge?

Arguing who is better between Lin and Beverly is like arguing what would one rather have, brain cancer or a brain tumor. Both suck bad.

I'm not even saying one is better. What I'm saying is if Lin were to shoot 1-11, every one of these people making excuses for bev would be ripping Lin a new one. He gets reamed for shooting 3-7 or missing one 3. And McFail would never have had Lin in with the possibility of the last shot. The bias is ridiculous but McFail is scared of Harden and losing his job. No real quality coach would buckle like that. Would Phil Jackson or Pat Riley or Pop wilt to their star player? Not a chance.

The reason is, over here, a pb can go for 1-11 and take the last shot, and will start the next game. Here, when Lin goes 3-4, bench!

Hey if he ain't on the court working, gives Jeremy Lin more time to be making Volvo and Adidas commercials, which I have to say the new Volvo commercial is hilarious!
If I can't see him on the court, I hope to see Lin off the court and on tv somewhere.
