he's still playing on a good NBA team. the amount of players in the NBA is limited. the amount of players playing on a good team is smaller. all in all, it's still a great position to be in life.

I'd wager that the only reason Brooks is behind Lin right now is to keep from completely destroying his trade value.

If that is the case, houston should trade Lin, 8 million/ yr is too much for a bench player...and so we can draw a conclusion too that pbev is really the answer if Lin is totally gone in this team...Jlin fans arent stupid Mr.clutch ok? Of course you will show that stats which solidify your claim that he is more fit to play with james, parson and howard... Coz thats what the management told you to do so but but but wait Pbev fans are saying he is better than Lin thats why he should be the starter...so which is which? Is he better thats why he got the starting position or its really a fit thing only? lols this article came after a good performance by Bev, what if by the next two games Rockets loose? Can u provide fit stats again Mr. Clutch? Or you will just nit pick games to support Ill agendas of this organization to Lin...

I think that's a perfectly valid midset to have about Lin. The problem begins when the people that "love the kid" let it change their perceptions of how the team operates, and then come onto a Rockets fan forum to vent about their perceptions. The problem continues when they cloud the GARM with vitriol towards other members of the Rockets team and staff. The problem explodes when they just have to let the world know that Jeremy isn't getting the playing time that they want him to.

Really? This is not Clutch's job. Why are you asking Clutch to do the Lin fan's job? We support the Rockets as a whole. There's no hate on Lin. The point is he's better off the bench. If you can't see that, then you can start a picket line outside of Toyota Center to demand a trade. Until then, stop harassing Clutch.

See? Completely unnecessary dude. The mods will ban him/her if they see fit to. You're just kinda making the problem worse.

    Um, how about no.

How about Lin just plays 20-30 minutes off the bench and helps the Rockets win games instead.

I am so sick of posters looking out for a player rather than the team.

I know right. Why can't they just stay on Lin fansites? They bring such nonsense it's unbelievable how much BS they spew.

Here is a hint buddy, if you don't like how I post, then ignore me. The feature is there for a reason. I don't waste time being political and sugar coating things, nor do I feel the need to be civil with garbage.

You are talking to a fanbase who grew up watching Sam Cassell come off the bench for the championship Rockets teams of the 90's and light up teams as a sixth man, older fans who remember McHale destroying teams off the bench for the Celtics in the 80's, and the newer fans in the NBA era of superteams where an all-star caliber player like Ginobilli, & Harden with the Thunder in 6th man roles are the norm.

This team appreciates the value in having a true 6th man. For some reason Lin fans just can't grasp how important that role is in the NBA, and its a shame.

In NBA status, role is everything, and usually how you are remembered after your playing days. If there is a ranking it would look something like this-

-Superstar role #1 (usually a guard)
-Superstar role #2 (usually a big)
    -6th man scorer
    -Glue guy
    -Junk yard dog
    -Enforcer
    -solid veteran

If status is really that important to Lin fans, you'd think that the 6th man role would be preferable because if he's not in that role... guess what... he's just playing a veteran rotation role on a championship caliber team. The only realization Lin fans need to come to grasp with is that Jeremy Lin isn't a superstar on a championship caliber team. The sooner that reality sets in, the sooner they will see the 6th man role is a pretty sweet gig.

Having a true 6th man on the roster is a game changer, and a huge weapon in the postseason when you have someone that can change the tempo coming off the bench. There is no reason now to trade Lin just to serve ego. He's still a huge asset for this team.

Just saying, it takes two sides to create a bad community.

    Exactly.
