You must have forgot that Lin sucked big time in the playoffs as a rocket.
    And he was brittle.
He got a bruised chest against this Oklahoma City team and couldn't even play.

That pick that was set on Beverly would have ended his season.

    Games matter

My memory is quite clear on that. He's also improved since then as well. He is still injury prone, but then again, so were/are Ego and Ryno. Point is, he would have flourished off the bench under MDA in our current system and I always look past any player fans for the good of the team.

Same here, someone who misses half the season and is injury prone and not durable should not be the running mate with James Harden.
Especially someone without end of game awareness.

Because some GM was dumb enough to offer him that. Put Bev and Lin infront of a GM and say choose between the two I am pretty sure any GM with a smallest amount of IQ would take an elite defender like Bev with a underrated offensive game and a borderline elite three point shot over a career journey man like lin. Offcourse a YOF/LOF like you cant grasp that fact. BTW, since when has salary been an indication of the player?. There are tons of overpaid players in the league.

    like your ASSumption.
I'm a nba fan fool, and my point is they're both quality starting guard material, there's no need to trash Lin, he didn't put up 14.5/5 this season for being a crappy or overrated player.

I cant believe people are still comparing the two....One is starting on a contender(thriving as well) and the other is starting on the worst team in the NBA.

Scrub voluntarily ran to the worst team in the NBA so he can pad his stats as a starter because he knew no other team would give him that chance.

    Mental midget gonna mental midget.

Pat could easily pad his stats on the lousy Nets.

The difference between Pat and Lin is that Pat wouldn't run off to the ****ing Nets, the team which everyone is trying to run away from.

With offensive trends continuing, Rockets blown out in Game 1

Jeremy Lin and the Rockets had a rough go in Game 1, but it can hopefully serve as a wake-up call

    Welcome to the Playoffs, Jeremy

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: Jeremy Lin was horrible. It was like he was playing the Heat out there. He was 1-7 from the field for 4 points. He wasn’t aggressive offensively (6 of his 7 shots were from 20 feet out or farther — his one make was a layup), couldn’t hit the shots he did take and couldn’t take care of the ball. While Westbrook is carving up the defense with penetration, Lin is having no success on the other end doing the same. His highest numbers were fouls (5) and turnovers (4).

“We played terrible all the way across the board,” said Lin.

As cliche as this may sound, this was only one game and it was his first ever in the playoffs. Take a look at how bad Lin was in the preseason as he was adjusting to his new role. Ditto his early days trying to co-exist with Harden. He recovered from both slow starts and improved as time went on. He doesn’t have a long time to do it, but he’s a better player than this and I think this Game 1 experience will prove more valuable to Jeremy Lin than any other Rocket.

“He’ll be better next game, I’m sure,” said McHale. “He’s a tough kid. He bounces back.”

Well atleast the hilarious and frankly borderline mentally insane Harden comparisons are the thing of the past. That really illustrated the level of stupidity of LOF's.
