His constant contract year hero ball is taking his energy making him suck now on both O and D.

honestly I'm beginning to think these players aren't coming back 100 percent from injury but they aren't telling the fans.

Lin tore his knee up at the end of linsanity and he has sucked ever since. I bet he's been playing in a kind of semi injured state ever since.

Same thing with Dwight Howard. Dude has apparently been playing with major back and knee problems this whole time and we never knew. And we all noticed he wasn't the Orlando Dwight but we didn't know why. Now we know. He'll never be Orlando Dwight again.

Now Beverley. For no reason at all his defensive production has fallen off a cliff. But if you look at all the injuries he's had it kind of starts to make sense. Beverley has already peaked it seems.

Look at Rubio in Minnesota. He gets injured almost every game now. He'll probably never get 100 percent again.

God. I am so sick about Dwight. We have James Harden, Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, and Josh Smith. A few years ago that's the best team in the league, period. But they are kind of breaking down. And Harden will break down next if we don't get the dude some legit help.

There's a big difference between playing backup minutes and starter minutes. It's called the law of diminishing returns. The really good players in the league can maintain consistency despite work load. Quite amazing what Harden has done going from backup minutes to MVP in only a few years.

Let's be honest. Lin's last season here wasn't anywhere as horrific as what Bev's been this season. (I'm not even a Lin fan.)

I would rather Lin handling the ball.

Is Lin a better ball handler than Beverley? Of course. We knew that when this thread was started. In every other manner Lin is worse. I'd rather have Beverley standing in a corner than Lin driving to the basket. Beverley is a better shooter than Lin and a far superior defender, despite his recent inadequacies. Will Lin get a bigger contract next year than Beverley? No way in hell.

I would have a hard time telling you that I want Jeremy Lin on this team - even last year's Jeremy. He's mentally screwed up at this point in his career. Going to the Lakers was a death sentence for him.

Between the two, Beverley was the right choice to keep. But I'm ready for an upgrade.

It's really a shame. Bev was everything you loved about an NBA role player. I don't doubt he still has the same heart and drive. I wonder what it is. I really hope he can figure it out. He has worked really hard to get this far and I hope he can turn it around because he is easy to root for.

Actually both guys have improved their 3pt shooting from last season and believe it or not, they have identical 3pt% at .372. Not bad.

Morey should totally re-sign Lin just to watch ClutchFans explode.

Hyperbole aside, he's a replacement-level PG, and wouldn't be a bad guy coming off the bench for .5-1.2m.

Bev has declined this season.. too bad.

But we replaced Jeremy Lin with the corpse of Jason Terry and we have a better record at this point than last season, lol.

Bev sucks now. Lin sucks. The dual suckage is clear.

Lin is a better overall player than Beverley but Lin has proven to play scared in the playoffs, and for that alone, give me Beverley over Lin.

Big difference was that when Bev sucked last year, we had some form of hope that Lin could pick up the slack. This year, we don't have any depth at point guard so when Bev stinks, he is pretty much the only option we have unless Terry is shooting lights out.

I know everyone is high on Canaan, and I am too but he hasn't shown up at all since he came back from that injury. He's had more than a handful of chances and yet, he hasn't looked good in any of them.

We need some real depth at point guard. If we have some consistent depth, people would rarely notice games that Bev struggles in.

I knew that Bev had little to no real point guard skills since early last season, but his defense, low turnovers and shooting made up for that. These past several weeks have been below average defense, mentally dumb turnovers and horrible shooting.
