He did fake him for the 3. Big deal. RayRay has done that do plenty of hall-of-famers. The last strip...foul, not called.

Lin wasn't the reason for this loss. Far from it.

Thirty eight year old Ray Allen getting wide open threes, scoring 25 points, and stripping your point guard is a big deal.

Omg, Jesus Shuttlesworth hit a three on Lin and got away with a foul! He obliterated Lin. And those other 22 points he scored, Lin should have double teamed him, even if he's not in the game! Ray went off on Lin today!

Seriously, do some people even watch the game when making these comments?

Beverly and Lin were both bad today. Beverly played like a d leaguer and Lin did way too much sitting in the corner waiting for the ball to find him and did not move well at all without the ball.

I don't at all like what I see with Bev iso'ing and calling his own number more on the offensive end, his biggest strengths this season have been motor, energy, and understanding his limitations.

I think he's forgot that his offensive skillset is basically "treat the ball like its a hot potato and get it out of your hands unless you have a wide open 3." Anytime Bev takes a shot attempt away from Harden that isn't a wide open 3 is a possession where the tradeoff is rediculously high in the points per shot category.

Same here. Bev got the ball in the corner, with 16 seconds left on the shot clock, and he decided to iso against Battier. He shot a step back corner three which missed and thankfully Asik cleaned up. But what was he thinking? Iso'ing against a great defender in Battier in the corner? Talk about setting yourself up for failure.

harden needs the ball in his hands, we don't need another established playmaker in our offense. Just need a 3 & D guy playing next him. #FAIL

And what exactly did Lin do today other than make one of the most boneheaded errors I've ever seen in the playoffs? Fail post.

come on, that play was not even the most boneheaded error of the game. Did you not see the mathews play when he was wide f@cking open like calvin johnson in the endzone. All the blazer players were smiling like a kid that got away with stealing a cookie from the cookie jar.

They only people who probably actually believed that narrative are the ones who think that McHale is a good/great coach for this team. So I agree with you.

The Rockets are at their best when Lin and Harden are playing pick and roll together, slashing into the paint and confusing defenses. Some of the Rockets' most impressive regular season wins over the past 2 years are games in which both of these players have had big games playing together. Their last win against Portland and the Christmas Day win against San Antonio are two examples. In 2012-13, they played that way a lot to get the team into the playoffs for the first time in 4 years. However,, McHale and Sampson never bought into the results that were happening on the court because it didn't fit the system. LaMarcus Aldridge has taken a wrecking ball to the Houston system, and McHale would be better off to rethink his previously held assumptions, and try to go with a more pick and roll based offense with Lin playing a prominent role.

Honestly, "dumping it into Dwight" makes me nervous. It's just not the same as dumping it into Yao.

The problem with Yao doing Pick and Roll was his lateral speed. But we CAN do this with Dwight. Need more Pick and Rolls McHale. Mix it up a bit. Harden ISO ball and dump-the-ball-to-Dwight isn't going to win us the series.

Playoffs are what matter. Numbers are clear. Bev has shown up to play, Lin has disappeared.

anything these playoff games proved so far, is that Lin should start over Bev.
As we saw over past this season, Lin, when get going, can be a difference maker while Bev is what he is, a role player.
As we see during these two games, when Harden is off, you will need someone else to step up and run the team, but Bev is not that person. We should try to get Lin and Harden working since Game 1 of the season and continue to develop him through out, instead of move him to the bench with no good reason and give him minutes on and off, which clearly destroyed his confidence and made very clear to him that he is not part of the future.

I just believe that Houston is better off with a better Lin if they had patient to develop him during the season. Now is too late and this Lin bench is finally come back to bit Rockets at behind.
