Nah, Brooks is too much of a defensive liability. Wish we could have gotten Rondo though.

    C. Webb certainly thinks a lot of Bev's defense.

The energy is great but he needs to play smarter. He took himself out of the game by being over aggressive. It's something he needs to get better at, picking his spots on when to pressure.

What's Bev been averaging? 3 points a game? Cuz it sure as hell seem like it.

Bev's defence is great but if he ain't knocking down the three ball then their essentially playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end.

The problem with Lin is his inconsistency which obviously puts him out of favor for the starting job. Bev offers defence at a high level with some occasional offence but with Lin, no one knows.

You want to be able to depend on your starters producing game in, game out and if one game you put up 20/8 then the next you stink it up, it makes it puts the coach in a difficult situation.

I will agree Lins probably the better defender and obviously offensively, but I will say lin has had two or three games this season where he just didn't bring it, whereas Beverly always at least brings the energy even on nights when he goes 1-10 from the field. I think this team has a higher ceiling with lin but he's gotta step up because he is still no dragic

Honestly, at least 2 of the fouls last night were b.s. Curry kept entangling him and they called Bev for it at the end, his 5th foul. And there was another play earlier where he didn't touch Curry but they called him for it. That's 2 fouls. Bev should have been on the floor at the end.

I do wish Bev would practice a 1000 catch-and-shoot jumpers every day from all around the arc this summer and become a dead-eye.

If Lin put up Bev's stat line last night of 2 points on 1-6 shooting, people would be eating him alive for that. They'll always find something to be pissed about.

If you go 1-10 in a game, you're not "bringing it".

Oh god don't remind me. Dragic craps on Lin's face at this point.

You know what you have a point. I'm not advocating Lin should start, but because he shares important playing time with Harden and Howard in the 4th QTR - he needs to find a role that is comfortable for him during that time where he shares the court. Most of the time I see him just deferring - at least lately. I dunno anymore. lol it's like a toss up when lin wants to attack and play aggressive or passive. frustrating to watch

I will agree that Lin is underrated on D on this board, but for you to say that there isnt a gap in D between Lin and Bev is flat wrong. You either only look at the boxscore or have a bias/agenda.

Agreed. Lin isn't an awful defender but Pat is just flat out better. Throw your cherry picked stats at me all day, that's fine. Watch every game and tell me Lin's defense is on par with Pat's. And no, getting caught on three consecutive screens without rotation help is NOT the fault of the on ball defender, be it Lin or Beverley. I think a lot of people here do not understand the concept of team defense vs. one on one defense. Scratch that, I KNOW a lot of people here don't understand it based on the, "Yea, well player X scored 27 on player Y" comments used as evidence of who's a better defender. Stats are important but you need to watch the game and understand what you're seeing as well.

Listen to Stephen Curry's interview last night about how hard it is to play against and to be covered by Beverley.

Bev brings stability to our starting lineup while Lin brings a lot of instability.

Lin is still too wild and careless with the ball. Looks great when his wild plays work, but you can feel McHale get frustrated whenever Lin has a bad TO.

Clutch Beverley down the stretch. Hustling for loose rebounds, being a nuisance on D.
