While you’re comment is true, the fans of Houston loved Faried’s play and especially his hustle and energy. Even haters had to admit he was fun to watch. Many of us believe that if MDA would have played him against GS we would have had the extra gear and rebounding necessary to take the series. Instead we saw 30+ minutes a game of the failing Nene and Shumpert combo. Facts show that MDA hates the Harrell and Manimal style come playoff time. Ironically, Harrell and Manimal did quite well against GS when given the opportunity....just an MDA playoff thing.

 

And evaluating a player's talent, solely from a calculator comes across as lazy

 

It's simple if he was better he would have a team regardless of system.

Untrue, there are too many other elements to just minimize it to this basic logic. Plus yall said the same thing about Josh Smith until he came in & destroyed the Mavs & Clippers for us. Kenneth Faried is absolutely perfect for our system. There aren't any other back up PF/C better than him available

Using a heavy use of numbers to make decisions is simply what all successful business do now. If you don’t you are being left to the annals of history.

This... I agree with that completely. I didn't understand at all at the time why MDA benched Faried for the GS series. On 2/23 MDA played Faried vs. GS and he shot 83% with 20 points 6 boards. I think he could have contributed because GS made big time adjustments to stop CC.

 

We need the Manimal at 4 to control the rebound to get more fast break oppertunities where Russ is more effective.

 

I guess at this point . .. . The Rockets feel they can always pickup Faried once everything else is complete

I'd have to watch the replays again but I remember my feeling at the time was it was Jeff Bigglydick was asking that he not play due to defense assignments and responsibilities.
