Thanks everybody for the feedback ... glad it went well and the Texans got a big win to boot. We ran with it for a day and it's no longer selectable in the bottom left of your screen, but if you don't have a style chosen in your <a href="http://bbs.clutchfans.net/profile.php?do=editoptions">user control panel options</a> (final option: Forum Skin), then the "Houston Texans" style will display for the Texans forum only. I could make it override whatever skin choice you have for this forum, but I have a feeling that dark style users wouldn't like it so I decided not to do that.
One other thing ... I'd like to make tweaks to this style, based on your thoughts. Maybe we can improve the user experience, which will eventually be carried over to a Rockets style.
Alright Clutch. A few things... It seems you forgot to incorporate color gradients into the colorscheme. While solid colors do maintain that 'simple and clean' look a subtle amount of a color ramp would make it a little better. Times New Roman is bad imo. My recommendation would be Helvetica lol. That's really the only thing I've noticed so far...
Am I the only one that wants this theme as a permament option for the whole forum? Gotta visit the Texans forum from time to time now just to see this beautiful thing.
Any chance at adding a CF Dark + Texans option into the CP? As far as feedback on the theme... the post sides could use borders - especially on the right side.
Yes, but if you have a style specifically chosen, it wouldn't show. See the post above: Tonight, I changed it to show in this forum only for everyone, regardless of what style they have. As mentioned above, I would do that all the time, but I'm not sure Dark users will like that.
Yeah, I love the concept but I'm so used to the dark theme that it's hard switching to this. A dark Texans theme would be so awesome.
Thanks, Harrisment. I could try to put together a dark Texans theme, but it wouldn't help in having a certain style specific to a forum. I'd have to pick dark or light to be the "hard-coded" style for the forum. I could try to get creative and display one or the other, depending on what style you have... it's just not built-in functionality.
